Guaranteed 700g Bakugan!
The follow-up anime series of the Bakugan Battle Brawlers is the New Vestroia chapter. Bakugan Battle Brawlers: New Vestroia, released in 2009, was first slated for 26 episodes only. But it was extended with another 26 episodes because of high ratings.
The story centers on our Bakugan heroes Dan, Shun, and Marucho being called to Vestroia, and welcomes new characters Mira, Ace, and Baron. Their opponents this time are the evil Vexos brawlers, composed of a royal prince and six powerful Bakugan brawlers (each representing an element --- Pyrus, Ventus, Haos, Darkus, Subterra, and Aquos).
What's New This Season?
Season 2 of the Bakugan Battle Brawlers series brings us great additions to the screen and to our Bakugan collections! First off, we welcome new Bakugans that will be showing off their skills. Along with the new Bakugans, there are also new characters --- new friends and comrades, and new foes and enemies.
There are also new things to behold --- Bakugan Traps and Bakugan Special Attacks! Special Attack Bakugan have their own special powers --- changing attributes, changing G-powers, lighting, spinning, and many more. The Bakugan Traps, on the other hand, are like a different species of Bakugan. It is shown that they cannot speak, although it is believed (and Marucho does greatly believe) that the traps just have their own form of communication. The Traps make their entrance in the New Vestroia series, acting as brawling support to the guardian Bakugans as they brawl.
The Bakugan Battle Brawlers Resistance
Dan Kuso, Marucho Marukuro, and Shun Kazami stays on as three of the main protagonists in the second season. They were taken to Vestroia, the planet of the Bakugan, which was invaded by the Vestals. The other three main heroes that carry the banner of the other attributes are Mira, Ace, and Baron, who are members of the Bakugan Brawlers Resistance.
Dan still has Drago as his guardian Bakugan. The other five heroic Guardian Bakugans in the first season didn't fare well, however. Tigrerra, Gorem, Hydranoid, Preyas, and Skyress were all turned to statues. This left Marucho and Shun to partner up with new Aquos and Ventus Bakugan, respectively.
Dan's Guardian Bakugan: Pyrus Neo Dragonoid -- Cross Dragonoid -- Helix Dragonoid
Bakugan Trap: Pyrus Scorpion
Battle Gear Boost: Jetkor
Marucho's Guardian Bakugan: Aquos Elfin -- Minx Elfin
Bakugan Trap: Aquos Tripod Epsilon
Shun's Guardian Bakugan: Ventus Ingram -- Master Ingram
Bakugan Trap: Ventus Hylash
Mira Clay: Mira is the leader of the Battle Brawlers Resistance, and she is a Subterra Brawler. She formed the Resistance when she discovered that the Bakugan could talk and are not the mindless beings that the Vestals thought they were.
Guardian Bakugan: Subterra Wilda -- Thunder Wilda -- Magma Wilda
Bakugan Trap: Subterra Baliton
Baron Letloy: Baron is the hyper jolly member of the Resistance. He is a Haos brawler and is first seen in the series with Blade Tigrerra fighting the Vexos. Baron is a very big fan of the original Battle Brawlers, and calls Dan, Marucho, and Shun as masters.
Guardian Bakugan: Haos Nemus -- Mega Nemus -- Ancient Nemus
Bakugan Trap: Haos Piercian
Ace Grit: The strongest of the three and the equal of Dan in brawling and in personality (only a little more surly), Ace was hesitant in welcoming Dan and Marucho to the Resistance at first. He is the Darkus brawler of the group.
Guardian Bakugan: Darkus Percival -- Midnight Percival
Bakugan Trap: Darkus Falcon Fly -- Flash Falcon Fly
V For Vexos, V for Villains
Six members make up the Vexos, an elite group of Vestals that serve King Zenohold and Prince Hydron. All members are shown to be vicious and cold, disregarding the Bakugan as mere playthings made for brawling and with no feelings.
Spectra Phantom: Leading the group is Spectra, the enigmatic Pyrus brawler of the group. He wears a mask that hides his true identity but is revealed to be Mira's brother Keith. He constantly makes improvements to his Bakugan Helios in order to make him the Ultimate Bakugan. This ambition to make the strongest Bakugan holds priority over his loyalty to the Vexos, and it eventually led him to defect from the organization.
Guardian Bakugan: Pyrus Viper Helios -- Cyborg Helios -- Helios MK2
Bakugan Trap: Pyrus Metalfencer
Battle Gear: Twin Destructor and Zukanator
Gus Grav: Gus is Spectra's second-in-command who is extremely loyal to Spectra, and Spectra only. He goes along with Spectra when he defected, and is very protective of him. When King Zenoheld insulted Spectra, Gus came back and battled the king to defend Spectra's honor. Zenoheld proved to be too much for him, even when Gus was the second strongest of the Vexos. Gus lost his life in the battle, along with his Bakugan.
Guardian Bakugan: Subterra Primo Vulcan -- Rex Vulcan
Bakugan Trap: Subterra Hexados
Mylene Pharaoh: An Aquos brawler, she became leader of the Vexos when Spectra left. Mylene is cold-hearted and very adamant that everyone follow her orders clearly. She thinks Bakugan with feelings are useless, promptly throwing away her and Volt's Bakugan when they voiced out their opinons.
Guardian Bakugan: Aquos Abis Omega, Elico, mechanical Macubass
Bakugan Trap: Aquos Tripod Theta
Volt Luster: He is probably the most honorable member of the Vexos, with a fierce loyalty to the group. He is the Haos brawler of the group.
Guardian Bakugan: Haos Brontes -- Mega Brontes, mechanical Boriates
Bakugan Trap: Haos Dynamo, Hexstar
Shadow Probe: is the craziest and meanest of the Vexos. It seems he can only be controlled by Mylene, although he irritates her. He is a Darkus brawler.
Guardian Bakugan: mechanical Darkus Hades, mechanical Darkus MAC Spider
Bakugan Trap: Darkus Fortress
Lync Volan: He is the Ventus brawler of the Vexos, and is held in a low degree of respect by others. The other Vexos thinks he's a show-off and thinks himself cool. His loyalty is also shaky, as he changes sides often to ensure that he joins the winning side.
Guardian Bakugan: Ventus Atmos, mechanical Altair, mechanical Aluze
Bakugan Trap: Ventus Wired
Prince Hydron: Prince Hydron was once the ruler of New Vestroia, and the Vexos served him. After Spectra and Gus defected and he and the Vexos and his father were exiled, he replaced Gus as the Subterra brawler of the group. He is spoiled and boastful, but he apparently has great skills in brawling.
Guardian Bakugan: mechanical Subterra Dryoid
King Zenoheld: After being exiled by the Vestals with his son and the remaining Vexos, Zenoheld resumed the position of leadership over the Vexos. He is the Pyrus brawler of the group, and has proved to be cunning and merciless.
Guardian Bakugan: mechanical Pyrus Farbros
The Bakugan New Vestroia series began airing on April 12, 2009, and ended in 2010. You can watch the episodes on our Bakugan TV Show list!
