Shun is a stoic battle who uses ninja attacking maneuvers, he is a master of Bakugan Battle Brawling. He co-created the rules and regulations of Bakugan back in season 1. Upon hearing that there are Bakugan battles going on, he joins Marucho and moves to Dan's new city. Shun attends the same school as Dan. A Ventus Battler, he has absolute trust in Hawktor.

Season 1
- Shun co-created the rules and regulations of the Bakugan game with Dan.
- He had given up brawling when his mother fell into a coma and his grandfather told him to concentrate on his ninja training. He and Dan also had some sort of falling out during this time.
- Shun was suspected to be Masquerade, but only by Julie and only because she saw him with an old man who she thought was Hal-G. The old man turned out to be Shun's grandfather.
- His brawling ranking fell down when Masquerade came into the picture and he temporarily quit. When he came back to brawling, he was ranked 6th. He was able to rise up to 3rd place eventually, after Dan and Masquerade.
- It was his idea to lose on purpose to Masquerade in order to get to the Doom Dimension and save Dan and Drago. He intended to go alone, but the other found out and chastised him for wanting to do it alone.
- He was Dan's last battle in helping Drago to evolve.
- He can apparently battle against Bakugan (those his size, of course) by himself, as shown in his battle with Hairadee. This is all thanks to his ninja training.
- He had long hair this season, which he cut in the future.

Season 2 - New Vestroia
- Like in the first season, Shun was not present in the first few episodes, adding to his mysterious and stealthy image.
- It was revealed that he came to New Vestroia even before Dan and Marucho came.
- His partner Bakugan of the season, Ingram, is a female at first but evolves into a male Bakugan.
- He made a thorough research of how to free the Bakugan before he revealed himself to the Dan, Marucho, and the Resistance.
- He is the only one of the original brawlers whose partner Bakugan (Skyress) has refused to go back to earth and disappeared in the second part of the season.

Season 3 - Gundalian Invaders
- Shun is now ranked 2nd in the Bakugan Interspace.
- He was the first to have suspicions of Ren, which led him to help Fabia and expose Ren's lies.
- He rarely uses his battle gear.
- He had a chance to brawl with Drago as his partner Bakugan.
- He seems to know when a person is lying or not, as he has correctly suspected Ren and Jake when they betraying the brawlers.
- He had to say goodbye to Hawktor when the war ended, as did Jake and Marucho with Coredem and Akwimos.

Season 4 - Mechtanium Surge
- Shun has a new partner Bakugan in Ventus Taylean, a Bakugan from Neathia. Nothing has been said yet as to how they became partners.
- Shun is still his usual observant self, suspicious when Drago missed a shot and sure that Dan hasn't told them of all his and Drago's troubles. He becomes frustrated with Dan for refusing to tell them what was wrong.
- Shun is being targeted by Sellon as part of her plans in the service of Mag Mel. She first offered that Shun should be on her team, then that Shun should take over leadership of the Brawlers team.
