Hydron was the crown prince of the Vestals. He and his father, King Zenoheld, fell out of the Vestals' favor when it was made known that the Bakugan were not the mindless creatures that the Vexos made them out to be. After the battle against the Resistance in New Vestroia, Hydron was in exile with his father and the remaining loyal Vexos. He became the Subterra Brawler of the Vexos, with his father assuming all command.

Season 2 - New Vestroia
- In the beginning of the arc, it was shown that Hydron had the statues of Skyress, Preyas, Gorem, Hydranoid, and Tigrerra. He wanted to complete his collection of the six hero Bakugan by capturing Drago as well.
- He has this habit of twirling his hair with his finger while stating his orders to the Vexos.
- He is shown to be somewhat of a spoiled brat, who can be heartless and selfish.
- Despite not battling in the first part of the season, he is shown to be skilled brawler in the second season. It looks like he wasn't all talk about his brawling skills.
- He is desperate for his father's praise and approval, and is scared of his wrath.
- In the end, he realized that his father will never approve him, and he challenges him and fails.
- He is a sore loser, and can't handle losing without exacting revenge, as shown in his battles with Volt and Lync.
- Despite his selfish attitude, he is shown to have a conscience in the end.
