    The Power of Combos

bakugan GI subterra glow Battle Tactic #14: Devastating Combos #5: Subterra – February 2011We are proud to feature dennis1110 as our Guest Strategist for the latest ‘Battle Tactics with BrightLight' article! This battlefield strategy tip is the fourth in a series of six Battle Tactics about devastating combos that use the latest Gate Cards, Ability Cards, and Bakugan from Gundalian Invaders!

Take note of this strategy tip from dennis1110, using these Bakugan and cards:

    Subterra Sabator
    Subterra Avior
    Subterra Damakor
    Gold Chompixx
    Fire Swamp Gate Card
    Golden Spear Gate Card
    Sabator Ability Card
    Chompixx Reference Card
    Damakor Reference Card

Here is how this tactic will devastate your opponent:

    1. Place the Golden Spear Gate Card in the field.

    2. Play your Sabator card to boost your power level and drop your opponents by 1. Roll Sabator onto your Golden Spear Gate Card.

    3. Wait until your opponent rolls on your Golden Spear Gate Card, then flip it over and play your Gold Chompixx and get the bonus of: 830+190+80+80, which will add up to 1,180g's.

    4. Play the Chompixx reference for Wubterra if you win, which will let you take another turn. Roll your Subterra Avior 630g's onto the remaining gate card.

    5. After your opponent rolls, flip the gate over and activate your Reference card to evolve you Avior into Damakor, and you'll probably Win because of Damakor's awesome G-Power. And If you're in trouble and already have used your blue ability, just use Damakor's unique ability to bring one blue card to your unused pile.

Thanks dennis1110 for sharing your awesome strategy!

    Brawl on!

Well, this episode brings to light what I call "fan politics" in stardom, where the star Bakugan players try to either maintain or increase their popularity among the fans by adding more to their fanbase. Team Anubius and Team Sellon are certainly not against this practice. Dan, however... Drago's safety comes first, of course!

Given Drago's situation, I think Dan made the right choice in holding back in the battle against Anubius. He could have made a better choice by not agreeing to the battle in the first place, but Dan is Dan and he'll always say yes to a challenge. Another thing I find frustrating is why Dan just won't come clean with Shun and Marucho. They're friends and they're there to help. Dan shouldn't keep the problem to himself especially if it involves a Mechtogan who is so hard to defeat.

I hope Dan won't keep on turning the others away with his problem. Next episode, Shun will lead on getting to the bottom of the problem while Sellon takes her turn in challenging Dan.

A new season and new Bakugan would naturally mean additions to the site. And there are definitely lots of new stuff from Mechtanium Surge. We will be a little reserved on what to share here for a while, however, as Spinmaster hasn't really officially confirmed anything other than the previews and the newly released first wave of Mechtanium Surge Bakugan.

Well, you guys have already heard and seen lots of new Mechtanium Surge Bakugan making the rounds in the Internet, I'm sure. You already know of the Mechtogan, the Mechtogan Titans, the BakuNano, and the upcoming-unknown-for-now Bakugan of the next waves. So I'm sure you also know about the Marvel Bakugan, specifically Wolverine and Iron Man Bakugan...

... which are amusing additions to the Bakugan line. I honestly don't know what to think of them other than that they are really amusing. Who would've thought Marvel heroes could be made into Bakugan balls?

As stated above, there is no word from Spinmaster about the Marvel Bakugan yet. Even Bakugan.com hasn't been updated yet to show the new Mechtanium Surge Bakugan, so we're all still in the dark about what Spinmaster has for us concerning the fourth season.

Here in Bakugan Buzz, we've already added what information we have to the database. Some of these pages have already been added to the Navigation tab on the left:

I really wish SM and the Tv show creators would just tell us who the other protagonists are already. Spectra is said to be coming back, and as a Darkus brawler this time, but when?! I want to see him brawl already. I have to say, though, I still have doubts whether he really will be back this season, because his name is nowhere in the credits. Plus, all we have on the Subterra and Haos brawlers are names and we don't know who's who yet. No clue, too, as to when they'll show themselves.

Watching episode 2 somehow lifted my spirits up. There's definitely a lot of action for just the second episode of the season. We see Tristar battle for the first time, and we also get to meet the first Mechtogan that Drago has unleashed: Zenthon. He's bigger than I expected, and looks like a cross between a Bakugan and either a Gundam or Transformer (I really still don't know what to think about these Mechtogans). Someone is also reporting to Mag Mel and Razenoid --- wonder who that was.

Look out for the tag team of Anubius and Sellon (who used Ventus brawling)! It was a good battle, and I forgive them for taking the spotlight away from Shun.

Well, I've held out as long as I could as I research to find out more about the new season with only the first episode out. I've kept you guys waiting long. So let's now officially welcome the fourth season of the Bakugan animated series, Bakugan: Mechtanium Surge!

It's now been over a year since the Gundalian-Neathian war was over, and we can now see more mature looks in our three recurring heroes Dan, Marucho, and Shun (attitudes are still the same, though). Dan still has Pyrus Titanium Dragonoid, of course. Marucho and Shun have new partner Bakugans, however, in the forms of Gundalian Aquos Tristar and Neathian Ventus Taylean. Tristar pretty much fits the stereotype of Marucho's past Bakugan --- talkative, could be funny but this time a little meaner. Taylean also fits Shun's personality --- spouting wisdom quotes and calm and quiet.

We also see some new faces! Memorable and important ones are Anubias, leader of Team Anubias and a Darkus brawler. He could be the Darkus brawler of the season. He is the 2nd ranked brawler in Interspace, after Dan. At 3rd place is Sellon, a Subterra brawler (could be our Subterra brawler of the season). Shun comes in 4th, by the way, and Dan reasons that if Shun battled more instead of just training they would be tied in first place.

The first episode pretty much lays out the storyline of season, although there are still some questions that needs to be answered in the coming episodes (like who the Haos brawler would be, hoping it's not that Dylan guy). We get some look into the visions that Dan and Drago have, and how monstrous and evil the Mechtogan look. We'll know more in the next episodes, so stay tuned!
