Guaranteed 700g Bakugan!
This month's Battle Tactics session brings a strategy shared by a member of the my.Bakugan Community member BurningPyrus. Pyrus brawlers, here's something new for you!
According to BurningPyrus, you will be needing these pieces or the strategy to work:
Pyrus Skyress 250g or Pyrus Dragonoid (MS Evolution Pack exclusive)
Overhang (or any trick card)
Doom Card
BurningPyrus' strategy:
First set Overhang or a trick card face down on the field. Then roll either Pyrus Skyress 250g or Pyrus Dragonoid (MS Evolution Pack Exclusive) onto Overhang or whatever trick card you chose. Your opponent will think they'll have an easy win by rolling a high g-power bakugan onto the gate, but when the gate is revealed the text says The Bakugan with the lowest G-Power total wins this battle. And with Pyrus having the lowest attribute gate bonus you're sure to land a win regardless but wait your opponent may use that same Bakugan in a future battle. Play your Doom Card (if you have it) to make sure your opponent's Bakugan is removed from the game.
After going over the basic team setup last month on Battle Tactic issue #16, we continue forward with BrightLight's Battle Tactic this month in reviewing the basic requirements and rules in setting up a brawl and winning a battle!
Game Set Up
In a 2 player game, both players sit across from each other in the field. The goal of the game is to be the first to capture 3 Gate Cards. Each player's right side is for unused Bakugan and Cards, called the "Unused Pile." All cards are placed faced down in your Unused Pile so your opponent can't see them. Each player's left side is for used Bakugan and Cards, called the "Used Pile."
To start, each player places one of their Gate Cards face down in the middle of the battlefield in the space closer to their opponent, furthest from themselves. Gate Cards are replaced when there are no more Gate Cads in the field.
Begin play with your Team Setup of 3 Bakugan, 3 Gate Card and 3 Ability Cards. Refer to Battle Tactic #16 for more info.
Roll to Battle
The youngest player goes first, and then players take turns. Players must be 2 cards lengths from the battlefield to begin their roll.
During your turn:
Select and roll your Bakugan over the Gate Cards in the center of the battlefield.
If the Bakugan misses and does not land on a Gate Card, it goes into your Used Pile. Now it is your opponent's turn.
If you do land on a Gate Card but no other Bakugan are standing on that Gate Card, it is your opponent's turn to roll.
If your Bakugan lands on a Gate Card where your opponent already has a standing Bakugan, then battle begins!
During battle, each player looks at the G-Power printed on the inside of their Bakugan. Then, flip over the Gate Card and look at the numbers on the left listed in the colored circles. Each circle matches a Bakugan Attribute which is called the Gate Attribute Bonus. Now each player adds the Gate Attribute Bonus that corresponds to their Bakugan. This is your total G-Power.
If there is no text on bottom of the Gate Card and no one plays any Ability Cards or any Support Pieces, the brawler with the high total G-Power wins the battle, captures the Gate Card and places it in their Used Pile. Remember, the first brawler to capture 3 Gate Cards wins the game! Now, each player places their battling Bakugan in their Used Pile.
Don't forget that before you roll, during your turn or after battle, you may play any applicable Ability Cards that are in your Unused Pile. You may even play ALL of your Ability Cards, but choose your cards wisely! Ability Cards go into your Used Pile once you have used them.
Also, during a battle, you may play a Support Piece such as Mechtogan, Mechtogan Titans, Mobile Assaults, Battle Gear or Traps. These Support Pieces will add a G-Power boost to help annihilate your opponent! Additionally you may use your BakuNano to give you the edge over your opponent!

This year launches the 4th season of Bakugan, bringing Mechtanium Surge Bakugan, Mechtogan, Mechtogan T.itans, BakuNano and Mobile Assaults to the battlefield! Also included in this season are new rules for game play leaving brawlers with new strategies to hone for their next brawl.
While the rules have all new intricacies, let's not forget that the basics of game play are the foundation for devastating strategies. In this Battle Tactic, we are going to begin getting down to the nitty gritty of brawling to show just how easy it is to build the groundwork for more advanced game play.
First and foremost is your team setup. Your team setup is a critical component in battle: which Bakugan, Gate Cards and Ability Cards you choose that will work together so that you have the upper hand against your opponent is the first key to a great approach on the field.
In the basic 2 player game, your team setup that is required to start a brawl consists of:
3 Bakugan - Your Bakugan can be of any Attribute*, even all the same! Note: Official rulings may not allow 2 of the exact same Bakugan with the same G-Power.
3 Gate Cards - One of each Card Attribute**: silver, copper and gold.
3 Ability Cards - One of each Ability Card color: red, blue and green.
*An Attribute is the color/symbol on your Bakugan: Pyrus, Aquos, Ventus, Subterra, Haos or Darkus.
** The three Gate Attributes are: Gold, Silver, and Copper, which are identified by the symbols below. BakuNano, Battle Gear and Bakugan Mobile Assaults have Gate Attributes and these Gate Attributes also refer to the color of Gate Cards in game play.
Additionally, your team setup may also include the following optional pieces to enhance your power in battle:
1-2 Support Pieces - You can have up to a max of 2 of the following, in any combination in your team setup: Mechtogan, Mechtogan Titans, Mobile Assaults, Battle Gear, or Traps.
AND
1-3 BakuNano - In any Gate Card Attribute combination for your team setup.
Remember, these are all optional, so any combination you choose will work as long as you have no more than 2 Support Pieces and no more than 3 BakuNano. Yes, this does mean you can have a total of 2 Support Pieces AND 3 BakuNano in your team setup!
That's it brawlers! You are now prepared to begin brawling with your team setup by having the necessary elements to start battle. Check out the next Battle Tactics with BrightLight for more about basic game play!

4. Play the Chompixx reference for Wubterra if you win, which will let you take another turn. Roll your Subterra Avior 630g's onto the remaining gate card.
5. After your opponent rolls, flip the gate over and activate your Reference card to evolve you Avior into Damakor, and you'll probably Win because of Damakor's awesome G-Power.
