Ren is the leader of secret agent group sent by Emperor Barodius to infiltrate Earth to find the DNA code. He is an alien disguised as a human sent to Earth to find the best brawlers and help defeat Neathia. Ren comes from the underground world of Gundalia, where he was kept, unknowingly, by the Emperor's family, because he possesses a dark Bakugan with a very powerful ability. He is an exceptional Darkus Battler. Ren teams up with Linehalt to do battle.

Season 3 - Gundalian Invaders
- Ren is the leader of the spy team sent by the Gundalians. However, it seems that he is not respected enough by the members (Sid, Zenet, Jesse, Mason, and Lena).
- Many view him as Emperor Barodius' favorite, when in fact, Barodius was just curious as to what "hidden powers" Linehalt has and if Ren can get it out of Linehalt.
- Ren is the last of the Protectors of the Dark Bakugan, and Linehalt is the last of the Dark Bakugan.
- Ren finally switched over to the Neathian side as his conscience and sense of friendship gets the better of him. He had to battle Fabia first, however, before he was welcomed enough to be able to get through Neathia's third shield.
- He was determined to get the rest of his team (Jesse, Lena, Mason, and Zenet) out of Kazarina's clutches. In the end, when Kazarina's control over them disappeared due to her death, they sided with Ren and the Neathians.
- He gave Rubanoid to Linus since he was not a Pyrus brawler. Linus was a Pyrus brawler, however, and was also in need of a partner Bakugan in the war.
- He discovers, along with the others, that Linehalt's Forbidden Power could also heal and restore, as he did so with Neathia when they woke up from the beating Barodius gave them.
