Let me just start off by saying, I think Bakugan are cool. My son and I have just started getting into them, and we really like the concept, the marbles themselves are both clever, and really cool-looking.However, as a veteran of several collectible games over the years, I find it baffling how shoddy a job they do with explaining gameplay and rules for this game. Sure there are great websites like this one that try to answer various questions, and there will always be odd situations that come up that couldn't have ALL been foreseen, BUT it seems like there is a basic level of design that is lacking when you are releasing a product, its already on the shelves, and nobody knows what it actually DOES in the game. People shouldn't HAVE to come on-line and search to find out, for instance, whether a BakuFrost bakugan acts like a Pearl. There should be rulings about that kind of stuff BEFORE the product comes out, and those should either be included with the product itself, or in a clear, well-organized section on a official website. I've been to the official website, and they have an FAQ, but it seems to be missing an awful lot of stuff that it SHOULD have.Am I alone in my frustration that it seems like I am just left to make up stuff as I go along (not that that isn't fun, too, but it tends to lead to arguments when playing with somebody else)?
Yeah, this game has a load of problems, but you can ask SPinmaster on the official website and they'll answer it (although they never update their FAQ with it) thats where ths site gets most, if ot all, of the information.
Or buy $10 of bakugan stuff at Toys r'us and get the free DVD which clears up a lot of the rules. Since Bakucrystal counts as transparent Bakugan, I'd say bakufrost is Pearl.
