Jake is a new friend of Dan who made friends with him when he came to his new town. He has a powerful presence, because he is big for his age. He is very calm, but can get overly excited and obsessive. Jake is a Subterra Battler and partners with Coredem.

Season 3 - Gundalian Invaders
- Jake is apparently new at brawling, as implied on the first episodes of the season. He is still learning how to brawl from Dan in the first few episodes.
- He wanted to have his very own talking Bakugan (that it creeped Drago out whenever Jake looked at him longingly) and was very happy when Fabia gave him the real Coredem.
- He calls Dan "Dan the man" and calls Marucho "little Maruch."
- He and Julie are also good friends. He's a football player, and Julie is a cheerleader on their team.
- Julie helped Jake with his Subterra battling styles, telling him to look for his own instead of copying Dan. She was able to give him confidence in his brawling skills.
- Jake can be stubborn and headstrong and reckless. These qualities have often led him to trouble, the latest one resulting to him being brainwashed by Kazarina.
- He had to say goodbye and cried while doing so in the end to Coredem.
