We need a java chat room. I think it would be a great idea! The other thing we need is a 6 rp tournaments. you could only use one attribute, and the winner would become the darkus champion or the pyrus champion. but if someone were to beat the darkus champ using all darkus and if it was for the championship, they would become champ. also, this site might need more moderators and mabee donations so we could add new stuff to the site.

I know it's almost a month later, but it's still on the front page. I want to echo the request for a chat. IRC is good, and you can have a java interface that connects to it.

Erm.. there was a chat on the front page. It was heavily spammed and some profanities too.. Unless someone moderates it, it's gonna be hard to keep it

Well, we would use a bot, so no spam! All javas have a bot to moderate, even when you are not on.

Yeah, IRCbots are really easy to set up with spam and profanity protection and stuff.

Alright, so I found a server we can use. I don't know if you guys have ever used IRC before or not, but you need a client such as mIRC. Trillian and Pidgin have IRC integrated if you're already using either of them.

i used to use mirc back in the day but i dont really like it. I rather just use yahoo messenger or Aim and open a chat window if i wanna chat with alot of people at once. Ever heard of Gooey, that was pretty cool program and would work. Its a chat type thingy that is sorta linked to the webpage you are on. So if you are on this forum it would show all the people on gooey that were also at this forum, if you went to a different page then it would show the people to chat with on that page. ( At least thats how i remembered it way back then – like 10 yrs ago lol )

Ernie, if you're using both AIM and Y! you should consider getting a multi-platform chat client like Pidgin. I use it all the time to connect to AIM, Y!, and IRC in one program, with tabbed chat windows which is really nice. You don't have to use mIRC to connect to the chat either, you can use xchat, or Pidgin makes it easy.It looks like it's really easy to add an applet to a webpage. Here is a little tutorial.
