Because they want to know if its a good strat or not

Its true that people can easily make a counter for their strategies, but nobody is ever going to have a deck just made for countering a certain strategy because then you only have that one counter against a ton of other strategies. Because in the real game, you have your cards set already, not chosen by random when the situation occurs. So you won't always be ready to counter a strategy.
