BATTLE TACTIC #10: DEVESTATING COMBOS #1: HAOS - OCTOBER 2010
The Power of Combos
If you’re a veteran brawler you already know it, but if you’re new to Bakugan it’s critical to understand the power of combos in the arena.
This is the first in a series of six Battle Tactics about devastating combos that use the latest Gate cards, Action cards, and Bakugan from Gundalian Invaders!
Haos is a come-from-behind attribute. It helps you pull out a victory even when it looks like you’ll lose. It can help you punish your opponent for putting all of his eggs in one basket, like when he has the same attribute for all of the Bakugan in his force. Best of all, Haos Ability cards and Bakugan work great with cards and Bakugan from other attributes, so it’s a good choice if you don’t have very many Bakugan yet.
A killer strategy with Haos is to use low to moderate G-Power Bakugan only. Why? Because Haos cards have lots of special abilities that let you win anyway!
Fire Dodge is an excellent Copper Gate for Haos. It has a small Haos bonus compared to the bonuses for other attributes, but you love that, because its ability says that the Bakugan with the lowest G-Power wins the battle! There are lots of other Copper gate cards that allow the lowest G-Power to win as well, just be sure to pick one that has a low Haos Bonus.
If you’re rolling low-G Bakugan, also consider Detect Shrimp, a red Ability card that gives a bonus to the lowest G-Power Bakugan (which is probably you!), and gives an even bigger bonus if you are rolling a Haos Bakugan (which you probably are!).
But what about Gear?
Why not combine a Gate cards with Battle Gear that will not only give you a nice G-Power bonus, but will give an extra G-Power bonus if you happen to have the lowest printed G-Power! It’s combos like this that can take your mid-level G-Power Bakugan and turn them into G-Power monsters!
Often when you play Haos, particularly when you are battling on an enemy Gate card, you will not only be behind in G-Power, but you will be WAY behind in G-Power. That’s when you can whip out the Hacket Gear card which (on a good coin flip) literally can turn the loser into the winner!
And if you have either of those two Gear in its Copper form, why not include Attract Copper, a Green Ability card that ensures that those Gear will be available whether they are in your unused or used pile!
Lastly, you might just want to look at Barias Gear, nothing like getting a Gate card without even having a battle...
Find Your Own Combos!
These are just a few examples of devastating Haos combos. Spread your cards, Bakugan and Gear out and see what other great combos you can put together!
Then, just start playing! You can switch things up between brawls to make your force better and better the more you play!

BATTLE TACTIC #8: SINGLE ATTRIBUTE BAKUGAN… MEGA POWER - AUGUST 2010
Single Attribute Bakugan... Mega Power
Don’t overlook powerful abilities that only apply to one of your Bakugan or Bakugan Battle Gear in your team.
The blue Ability Card, Enchanted Silver, boosts your Bakugan's G-Power based on its attribute during a battle where you have a Silver Battle Gear in play. In this case, the Ability Card gives Darkus Bakugan a massive +150 G-Power boost. For a battle example, you can call a Darkus Plitheon to stand and then throw down a Silver Vilantor Gear to give Plitheon its first G-Power boost. Then, devastate your opponent by using Enchanted Silver and add even more Gs to Darkus Plitheon!

For those of you who do not keep up with BakuBlog back in the Bakugan community, here's a recap of what they've been up to this month of June.

Bakugan Dimensions - Socializing
This article was released on June 3rd,and it talks about how to go your way about Bakugan Dimensions. BD is the latest craze of Bakugan fans, so right now there are probably only a few people who still have a hard time navigating themselves inside the game.
Basically, you socialize with fellow brawlers in BD by adding up friends, chatting with them, and challenging them to a brawl. In adding a friend, just double-click on their brawler and then click on the "Add Friend" button on your screen. If you want to brawl with the friend, then double-click on your friend's brawler and click on the "Brawl" button.
If you want to chat with your friend, there is a Chat Window on the bottom left of your screen. This helps you chat with the brawlers near you. If you want to send a private message to a specific brawler, you do this by "whispering" to them. Open up your Friends list, highlight the name of that friend, then click on "Whisper." Or you can just type the command /whisper on the Chat Window, e.g. /whisper (friend's name) Let's brawl! .

BATTLE TACTIC #6: BATTLE GEAR - JUNE 2010
Now that you’ve selected your Battle Gear, it’s time to use them in battle. Using your Battle Gear is an important strategy to winning the game. During your brawls, you will want to maximize the full potential of your Battle Gear by considering your arsenal and your timing.
DEPLOYING YOUR BATTLE GEAR
First things first, you should try to only deploy your Battle Gear on Bakugan that have matching attributes. It’s obviously not the best to add Battle Gear that have Special Abilities for Pyrus and Darkus to a Haos Bakugan.
Keep in mind that if you deploy Battle Gear on a Gate card whose color matches the Battle Gear’s icon — Copper, Silver, or Gold — you get to choose which Special Ability to use. Being able to use a specific Battle Gear Special Ability can spell the difference between crushing your opponent and losing the Gate Card!
Always keep in mind that your Bakugan gets the Battle Gear’s G-Power bonus whether or not its attribute matches the Battle Gear’s Special Abilities on the Reference Card. It might be a good play to deploy your Battle Gear for its G-Power alone.
Alternately, you can deploy a Trap and a Battle Gear in the same battle. This can let you use a Battle Gear’s Special Ability even if your Bakugan doesn’t match either of its Special Ability attributes! Using a Trap and a Battle Gear in the same battle uses up a lot of your resources all at once though, so be careful. Of course, if you can win your third Gate Card by deploying a Trap and Battle Gear at once, go for it! Remember, if you win the third and final battle you win the game.
While you’re battling, also note that you get to bring Battle Gear back from your Used pile to your Unused pile at the same time as your Bakugan. This can really affect when you choose to play your Battle Gear.
For more information on how to use Battle Gear, visit the Bakugan Gameplay FAQ here.
I hope you’ll use this month’s tips during your next brawl in order to maximize your arsenal on the battle field.
