Bakugan Movie Now Has a Director

Last year, Spinmaster and Universal started plans on making a Bakugan movie. And just last month it was announced that Universal Pictures has finally chosen a director to make the anticipated movie.

The director attached to the project will be Harald Zwart, the director of the remake of The Karate Kid. Now while The Karate Kid was indeed a success, there may be some reservations with the Bakugan film among fans. The Karate Kid involved real human beings and a real life situation. Bakugan, however, involves balls that transform into huge monsters with great powers. When it comes to storylines involving big monsters with awesome powers, the movie project becomes worrying. Just think, Dragonball Evolution... that movie turned out disappointing fans of the Dragonball series. But I guess we should give Harald Zwart the chance to make a good movie out of Bakugan.

What’s the Buzz On Bakugan For 2011?

First of all.. to all Bakugan fans, HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!

It's 2011, Christmas break is over, and now we're back on. I'm sure you guys also noticed that there weren't many new updates over the latter part of December. Everyone was enjoying Christmas and New Year's Eve their own way, after all. We all needed some time to sit back and relax with our families. But the new year has kicked in and we're all eager for some news!

Season 3 of the animated series, Bakugan: Gundalian Invaders, also took a break over the holidays. The show will resume on January 8th, and we will be treated to the long-awaited battle between the brawlers and the Gundalians, as well as Barodius and Dharak's invasion of Neathia.

We're also anticipating the new waves of Bakugan that will come out this year. There's been no news, however, on when they will be out exactly, and there have been no previews yet. It would be interesting to see who from the Bakugan community would do the previews now that Lord Darkus has gone. We should perhaps be expecting Bakugan from the fourth season, Bakugan: Mechtanium Surge, these coming months.

The fourth season of the animated series is also something to look forward to. We have no idea about the story behind it yet. For now, all we can do is guess if some New Vestroia characters will actually be coming back or not on the show. The Bakugan community is also keeping tabs on the new Bakugan and the new packs and products.

I would also like to share something I found from the Bakugan community at the Bakugan.com forums. One of the members there created her very own Castle Knight pendant, and it looks amazing. The pendant is modeled after Linus' showing the Pyrus attribute symbol. Instructions on how to make the pendant can be found on WikiHow: How To Make a Bakugan Knight Pendant.

Bakugan Buzz Site Updates

More additions are being made to the site and we would just like to share them with you. I'm sure you guys have noticed the changes made to the site. We've added some widgets on top of the page, starting with our links to Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube. You'll find them on the upper right.

There is also a Search tab on the upper right. Just type in what you are looking for on our site, and it'll show you pages where the word/phrase you've typed in can be found. The last addition that you can see above is the Character Profiles links (along with links to the Attributes and Bakugan Types).

We've also added more to the site by adding more information on the many kinds of Bakugan we have now:

Special Treatment Bakugan
They've got different designs, color schemes, and they follow game rules different from the usual ones. In Special Treatment Bakugan, we give you a rundown of these different and rare Bakugan, how to distinguish them, and how to play them.

BakuMutation
The BakuMutation series was not released in North America, but we still should have a page for it here. For Bakugan collectors, the BakuMutation Bakugan should be one of the must-haves on the list.

Bakugan Stealth
The BakuStealth series are a Walmart exclusive. They feature Gundalian Invaders Bakugan in four different special series. All are awesome and cool.

Bakugan BakuSuper G
We've also made a page for these Gundalian Invaders BakuBoost specials. The BakuSuper G Bakugan are Bakugan with G-power levels higher than 900g.

Bakugan BakuTech
Ah well.. all we can do with the BakuTech is drool over them and whine why they're only in Japan. Still, they are a cool part of the Bakugan mania, and so we made a page out of them, too.

New Bakugan Episode – Gundalian Invaders Episode 35: Dream Escape

Last Saturday, the latest episode was aired and we saw Jake finally get out of Kazarina's hypnosis. It was already quite obvious from last week's preview, but there's nothing wrong with being certain.

The mushy moment of this episode belongs to Aranaut and Fabia, when Aranaut confessed that he remembers everything about his capture in the past and about Jin. The most villainous title still belongs to Kazarina; she knows no bounds when it comes to evil deeds. In the latter part of the episode, Barodius and Dharak have already broken the third shield, and Neathia is now in very big trouble with the brawlers being surrounded by what's left of the Twelve Orders.

I still find it funny the way Strikeflier makes his pose while combing or grabbing his hair.
