No, it's a simple ploy to keep people buying. The competitive players who buy bakugan for brawling want to keep up with the highest gs, not caring about their favorite, so they increase the Gs with each set to keep the players coming back for more.

but then again, u can just use limbo gate or other cards like duck and win, and u probably would win
