When I was looking in to supplies for my project I found that for the cost of 3 LEDs, 3 resistors, and 1 battery at Radio Shack, I could buy 200 LEDs, 15 resistors and 25 batteries on ebay.

If you want LED's/resistors check http://www.mouser.com or http://www.jameco.com. My company usually orders it from them
