May 22, 2009 at 7:05 am #234134Lulz....eskura, I'd LOVE a Cthulu Bakugan. XDOdd... The wiki article for Leviathan has a picture of the "hellmouth" Beast of Archeron painting... the same one I used to describe the "Clockworth Leviathan" from a dream I had.
must have been some dream!

May 21, 2009 at 7:12 pm #234029baku literally is explosionsince the bakugan pops open on a metal gate card, and exaggeration would be that it explodes open, WOW!when a girl has huge boobs in Japan they say Bakunyu = explosively big boobsThey also have a saying that goes (name of thing) is Explosively popular which is like saying super or mega popular.so you can say that Bakugan in the USA is explosively popular.btw, jap is a racial slur, so don't use it unless you want to be seen as ignorant and or a racist.

May 18, 2009 at 6:05 am #233570yeah those were different times (pre-ebay) but still something to think about.I'd say older ones are more just like Transformers.I was just thinking about this coming home from work just now, and this is a very difficult and ambitious task.I think we are thinking too specifically. if we were to have the values praised whether it is a pearl, translucent or bronze, probably doesn't matter those would all be in one category and all count the same.even though if you got a reverse color or pearl bakugan in a tin it would be really uncoolto have it the same price as a regular reverse color or pearl.
May 18, 2009 at 5:10 am #233519back in the day when I was into comics, I had Wolverine #1 & #10, on the price guide they were listed as $10 at the time and were slowly going up in price over the years. but it was very difficult back then to sell it for the actual price, would be lucky to sell it for $5. Anyway that is just a little story to think about.I do like having a system where a person can calculate any bakugan at any given time instead of having to look through a long chart. $20 for one of the best bakugan ever seems about right. I'd say it's a bit too early for Hades though...And also think about how the g numbers have only been going up higher and higher.that seems to counter act the older "not available in stores anymore" ones. which is not right. it'll cancel each other out and come out about the same price. older should way more than higher G number.
May 18, 2009 at 3:48 am #233563The guide needs to be tested as many times as possible.rate each category from 1 to 5, 3 = average. zero is for doesn't apply.1) how old it is (time is a factor)2) how popular it is3) how rare it is4) extra features (such as translucent, reverse color, bronze, etc.)5) G powerhere are examplesBronze darkus Hades1) 12) 53) 24) 25) 4total = $14Neon (translucent) Ventus Percival1) 12) 53) 24) 55) 5 (710G)total = $18reverse color Delta Drago and Dual Hydranoid 1) 52) 53) 54) 55) 5total = 25 = $25ok so $25 is the max, but then think of the Gold Fear Ripper... it would also be $25but at least with this method you can tell where the problem area is, in this case it would be the rarity section needs to be increased probably by like 10
May 18, 2009 at 3:43 am #233562it's just a number, I based my calculations on 10 and I wanted to relatively match the prices I saw on ebay.Instead of randomly choosing.can decrease the number from 10 to 5. But that would make each category more stronger.maybe that is better?
May 18, 2009 at 3:14 am #233560point 1, if the price guide says $15 then anything below that is considered a good deal.you guys are gonna be hunting for below that. so if it says like $24 and it better be a dang good onelike the ones I mentioned, translucent Percival and bronze hades then you will be hunting for under that.so think about that.point 2, yeah I don't like many of the new special attacks either but think about it, it cost more. you can't lower the price cause you don't like it. that's what the popularity points are there for. it's Still a special attack and should get credit for it.
