Again not my own combo but its a pretty nice one.Ability cards:PyrusGate cards:Stand OffBakugan needed:High G-Power Pyrus typeStrategy:Your opponent should be on your Stand Off gate card first for this to work, unless you use Magnetic Action but thats using one too many abilities just for one battle I think. Anyways, after your opponent has landed on your card and its your turn, play the Pyrus Ability card and then roll your strongest Pyrus type and you should win pretty easily. The only thing you have to worry about is Traps and if their Bakugan's printed G-Power is more than yours when they use their Traps.
August 2, 2009 at 7:42 pm #264547Welcome to BakuganBuzz, please be aware that some people here will flame you for being noob if you are lol. Not me though, unless you constantly double post or post useless topics that could all have been in just one xD.
August 2, 2009 at 7:41 pm #264544I have all Monarus made.
I've got almost all Percivals released in NA, only missing the Sub Terra version.
August 2, 2009 at 7:19 pm #264528My favorite all time Bakugan is Percival. =]

I don't like the "Gate of ______" Gate cards, because if you look at it, you really only gain like 50 or so boost. I recommend Haunted Night or Dusk as the choice Silver Gate card for Darkus, unless you got some strategy planned out.
When it comes to card you want the boost that leads you over the opponent, not the total amount. Look at it this way, its Darkus Percival 630G VS Ventus Cosmic Ingram 670G.Card 1 will give Darkus 220G and gives Ventus 200Card 2 gives Darkus 150 and gives ventus 100 (For the sake of argument lets also say that 100 is the second biggest boost, first being Darkus, 150)The final totals for each card are as followsCard 1: Percival = 850G, Cosmic Ingram = 870G (You got a high boost but it wasn't high enough to beat the opponent.Card 2: Percival = 780G, Cosmic Ingram = 770G (See you won that one because your boost beat your opponent's boost by more)
I think you might like have misread what I was trying to say, or we just have it mixed up.Lets look at the cards.Haunted NightPyrus:110Aquos:50Sub Terra:50 (Highlighted)Haos:90Darkus:200Ventus:170When I look at the boosts, this is how I see them, as this is a card for Darkus. I subtract the Darkus boost to all the other boosts and it looks like so. And these numbers represent how much I would have more than them. Pyrus:+90Aquos:+150Sub Terra:+150 (Highlighted)Haos:+110Darkus:+0Ventus:+30So against a Pyrus type on Haunted Night I would have a +90 basically only.So when I decide to choose which Gate card to use, such as which to use, Dusk or Nightmare.DuskPyrus:80/60Aquos:20/120Sub Terra:60/80 (Highlighted)Haos:20/120Darkus:140/0Ventus:120/20NightmarePyrus:80/40Aquos:70/100Sub Terra:20/150Haos:120/50Darkus:170/0Ventus:120/50 (Highlighted)I prefer Dusk more, but depending on the situation, the other one gives more Boost to the ones that Dusk doesn't.I don't know if this post made any sense to you but yeah, this is how I see the Gate cards.

The official sleeves are pretty nice, although I don't like the blue and red, cause you can't really read them then ;O
Umm one side of the blue and red sleeves is clear. The card should be inserted where the back of the card should face on the colored side of the sleeves.
What would be the point of having the hidden effects on those certain cards then? Dur.
It's just a cool effect you get with the card. It's not like they have a rule "Flip card in sleeve to show hidden power".
Yeah but then theres no point in ever having the special effect if you never see it.

July 31, 2009 at 10:50 pm #263939I don't think you can, and why would you play the trap if you aren't going to use it? (just wondering)
Probably to use an Ability card.
July 31, 2009 at 10:48 pm #263926I was at the Mall of America recently and I noticed that the store FYE sells Bakugan too and the older sets too. Not B1 old but almost that old. Although their prices are pretty steep $15.99 for a starter.
July 31, 2009 at 9:45 pm #259390Heres probably one of the top Ventus strategies, repeated on other topics. And note, I did not come up with this combo but it seems to be very effective.Cards Required:Ventus- Green AbilityNeedles's Eye- Copper GateBakugan Required:2 any low G Ventus BakuganStrategy:Pretty simple concept of winning with the "Lowest G-Power wins" but except you get to do it twice with the Ventus Ability card. You can use any low G-Power Ventus and Needle's Eye doesn't give any boosts to Ventus types. And then the last card you'll have to win for yourself, probably should have a strong Ventus type like Ventus Percival 720G but its your call. I like using Ventus Preyas 2 650G/450G as one of my low G-Power Bakugan since it can switch from a decently strong Bakugan to a weaker one.
