“What're you gonna do with that, kid?!” he cackled, “Play it in defense mode?!”
Best line ever XD
Yeah, I tend to add other culture references to my fanfics. Heck, if I made this a cartoon, the credits sequence would be Kirk and Rabeeder (Sometimes Stacy, too) watching and criticizing other TV shows instead of a song!
December 5, 2009 at 9:27 pm #348062They don't have them in your area yet? I've seen Pyrus, Aquos and Subterra Neo Vortexes and a Pyrus Percy Vortex, in typing this I wonder why I didn't buy one of them lol...
No, I've just never felt the need to buy one, is all.
December 5, 2009 at 9:26 pm #348059Geez, I'm from all over the dang place. let's see.English, Scottish, Scotch-Irish, French, German, Swedish. That's all I can remember...
December 5, 2009 at 9:24 pm #348057COMPLETELY off-topic, but that Atmos has a PG factory code, the only previously known codes were JF, PA and MP...Aside from that, nice pics Kohdok, how about you try dissecting a Vortex Bakugan next?
Sure! As soon as I get one, that is... :'(
December 5, 2009 at 9:15 pm #348046Anyways, if you have one, Atmos?
Well, it's your lucky day, as I happen to have an Atmos!
The screws for Atmos are hidden under the feet and they were the larger kind so I had to use my flathead to get them out.
As opposed to Dual Elfin and Moskeeto, Atmos's split is horizontal around its middle, meaning it would be possible to give it a dual-attribute status.
Now, believe it or not, but those huge wings in the middle have NO latches attached to the magnet on them at all! The only parts of Atmos that have a latch are the head and tail. However, the wings do have a latch that attach them to the head when it's closed AND to the tail feathers which then connect to the tail, meaning there is shared work keeping the wings down.
Also unlike Dual Elfin, the latching device uses a compression spring which normally holds the magnet up, but causes it to be pulled down upon hitting a metal surface. The latches for the head an tail are also different. The head has a hook latch that latches onto the head while the tail has a stronger push latch where the latch is shoved into position by a solid piece which is only undone when the magnet is activated.-
Now the tail feathers are only held in by Atmos being fully assembled and so can pop out on their own if you're not careful. However, this does give us a closer look at the rotary spring than we've seen so far.
As we can see, part of the rotary spring fits into a notch on the feather while another latches into the main body. If the feather is pushed inwards, the spring is wound up and tightened, meaning it is primes to pop open if the tail latch is undone.December 5, 2009 at 8:17 pm #347968BTW with Met-Altair, (I dunno if i missed this part or if you failed to mention it) what attribtue is he? MUST he be the same attribute of Wired and Altair or do you use him like the Bakuswap Bakugan?
Whatever attribute the primary bakugan is. In this case, it would be based on Altair's attribute.
December 5, 2009 at 8:10 pm #347481Hmm… I have some of the opposite problem going on. While the Wave 2 B3's disappear in no time flat (I was lucky to find a Bakufrost starter), there is an overabundance of Evo packs and Subterra Vulcans (The regular ones, not the SA)
December 5, 2009 at 9:32 am #347750Wow, Kohdok... This is flat out awesome. (Understatement much?)I'll definitely be keeping up with this story.Descriptive, funny, just what a good fan fiction needs. 10/10
Thanks!
December 5, 2009 at 8:22 am #338717And where did you manage to find a Flat-head (lolLux) Triangle Screwdriver?
...internet.Actually, my flat-head only works on the larger screws. A lot of the newer ones use smaller screws that need a special driver that looks like a Phillips, but has only three sides in order to work.Heck, the Bakugan can have different molds and looks. For example, Sirenoid has at least two molds, one for big screws and one for small ones. I made the mistake of trying to mix their parts once. This means that when my "ventus" one arrives, I'll be able to tell if it is fake or not since I know that bakugan inside and out. Also, to get out the smaller pins (Like the axles), you first need to soak the bakugan in boiling water (DON'T let it touch the bottom of the pan). It's high-quality plastic, so this merely softens it a bit. Then use a screwdriver that's a smaller width of the pin (A miniature silver screwdriver you can get at Big Lots, for example) and push it out carefully. It's easier when the plastic is hot. (Got this tidbit from a Transformers website; guy was so hardcore he used a soldering iron directly on the pin to heat up the surrounding plastic. This is inadvisable.)
December 5, 2009 at 7:47 am #338727Mind if I post some pics of Bakugan I have taken apart? Moskeeto will be my first.
If you explain the mechanisms as you do so. This thread is for explaining how the bakugan work.
December 5, 2009 at 6:02 am #338834You're probably not showing up at the right times to get them. Try going at 2am while they're stocking the toys to see if they have any boxes. If they do, they're usually willing to pop one open for you if they're not too busy.
December 5, 2009 at 4:25 am #310295Maxs Drago becomes completely useless and Helios overpowered. Maxus Drago, mind you, only has one G-power period...
As long as cards like Duck and Win and Haos 2 exist, then Maxus Helios will never be overpowered. Also, it can be stopped with other cards like Julie's Launcher and Mirror Play. The game has plenty of cards designed to punish extremely high-powered bakugan, a game dynamic that makes the game balanced.

Haos Robotalian 470Haos Mega Nemus 720Pyrus Robotalian 350right and ill give aquous 760 abis omega for aquous preyas. it is haos gate4Mega ad alto bonteesand hyper drago(Masquerade's throw), 31, 33(x3), 34, 35(x2), 36 (x2), 37, 38 (Power From Darkness, x2) for haos and minefield as well as water gate
Well, I don't need Haos but my #37 is already called for so no worries. (Unless it's Haos gate, in which case we'll work something out. Also, I just noticed some paint coming off of H. Dragonoid over here. I bought it at Walgreens, though, so it's legit and you can still sorta tell it's meant to be 600 (It looks like 800, actually, with a notch taken out of the "6")So it's Alto Brontes 530, Mega Brontes 600, Hyper Dragonoid 600, and cards29, 31, 33, 34, 35, 36, 38 (One of each) for H + P Robatallions and Mega Nemus + Minefield and Water Gate, right?
So... can I take this as a yes?
December 4, 2009 at 3:07 am #347716Hmm... so your Mantris and Rikimaro's surprise for my Elfin and Percivil gate?
Sure. I'll throw in the Mantris gate card, too, to keep Rikimaro's Surprise straight.
December 4, 2009 at 2:54 am #347705Well, they went (back) up because Black Friday passed and now it's holiday shopping season. Anyone who wants to get them now has to pay the premium for not getting them earlier.Well, at least traps are still $5 and I know a Target that still has the lowered prices ($4.04 for a booster!)As for TRU having jacked-up prices, as a result they have a superior selection since less people buy from them. (Like I'm finding Bakuswap stuff everywhere!)
