Katana are epic enough they are in a group of their own.But if you wanna get technical, yes, but they're slightly different than most swords, as they are sharp only on one side, while swords are sharp on both sides.

oh, i tctually got one hung up in his livingroom. anyways, it's not really that big of a deal for me which ones better.
