What kind of Bakugan is that?! It's black with red highlights, and it's AQUOS?!

January 30, 2010 at 9:50 pm #365595I'm guessing Battle Gear is exclusive to the BakuTins. It comes with 2 reference cards (which are the blue, Battle Gear ability cards), and they are both from the A series, 4/6 and 5/6.
Which tells us there are 6 different Battle Gear cards and different style Weapons. We have only seen 3 so far. The 60g Rock Hammer, 70g Battle Turbine, and the 90g Vilantor Gear.Also, Toywiz is selling some kind of packs that have Battle Gear Weapon packs inside too (pre-order March 2010 release)

You have to understand that bakugan even if it is targeted for kids, has to mature or evolve so that the current fanbase can grow with it. You can't keep throwing and reusing old material since the current fanbase will get older which means players will get to understand more. Just look at how other sucessful games like pokemon. I remember pokemon during the early sets, simple rules and with simple gameplay buy looking at it now can give you an idea of how far along the game has evolved.If you are worried about the getting too confusing then that is what we the fans are here for. The current fans will make sure the game is as enjoyable to both old and new players. Forums and information sites like the buzz keep the game going and content, feedback, questions and complaints keep the game in check

QUESTION! are these bakugan the same good ol B2 size......or are they bigger cause i dunno
They're B2 size, but they suffer a little from "Alto Brontes Syndrome"...(Not perfectly spherical, with stuff jutting out)
Yes, we have noticed this to. Dharak for example, which is so AWESOME, has little nubs that stick out on two sides which really messes with rolling.This is NOT the way for SpinMaster to go IMO. Traps and weapons are non spherical, we get that. BUT Bakugan should be round for rolling. If the bakugan parts don't tuck in properly or hang loose, that is a BUMMER and should not happen. BUT when they add BUMP detail that protrudes upward or juts out from the plastic molded parts. NOT GOOD.Also, some of the new Gundalian Invaders have a seperate action required after they open up from ball form like pulling on the tail or pushing a button(i.e. Avior, Phosphos), like freezer, but unlike freezer, does not open up fully without extra hand action. Still, they are amazing Bakugan.

Not sure. Haven't opened up the others yet so not sure on the Coredem card or g-power on Pyrus or Subterra Translucent. Maybe tomorrow since it's past my boys bedtime ! lol.. Be sure I will let you know though..

I just wanted to start this discussion since I had a major thought. Since season 3 bakugan are coming out,new cards, and new rules, I was wondering if we will still be able to play B3's and B2's. Since new bakugan are going to have "battle gear" and special attachment parts and holes:will all of our B3 and B2 bakugan become obselete or useless? Also since new cards will come out will our old ablilities and gates just be put away for good? It's like a fresh start which isn't bad but is it nesecerly a good thing? And will this happen every time a new season comes out, start anew collection? Well just respond with your personal opinions and thoughts.

Ahh, who cares, I like my darkus lumagrowl (correct spelling), and 700g's doesnt hurt 😉
Good for you NP ! You snagged that Ventus one ! Bummer no Ventus Season 3 Baku. I mentioned earlier I thought the Lumagrowl was 680g, but my son just got home from his friends house and it is in fact 700g which is the highest g-power of the Bakutins we have seen so far. The Pyrus Coredem in Pyrus Bakutin that comes with the 60g Rock Hammer Battle Gear is 610g. The 700g Darkus Lumagrowl that comes in the Ventus Bakutin has the 90g Vilantor Battle Gear and the Aquos Tin has a 680g power Aquos Strikeflier with Battle Turbine 70g power Battle Gear.I just checked so I would get it right.

Yeah the Gold Battle Gear is the Rock Hammer and the Green ? Gear is the Valintor and Turbine Battle gear. Both the latter have the same Battle Gear Attribute which is different family than the Gold rock Hammer battle gear. Hhhmmmm....

I have no idea. The Aquos tin has Aquos Strikeflier and the Pyrus has Pyrus Coredem so go figure that the Lumigrowl is Darkus. If you ask me, it was a production error because the new Ventus has a BLACK or DARK option that almost looks like Darkus minus some highlights or different paint but still like Darkus. I surely thought that is what should have came in it, i.e. a Ventus baku in a Ventus Bakutin.
January 30, 2010 at 3:21 am #365387Maybe Sensei can enlighten us with the updated rulebook. I know the battle gear adds more excitement to the game but I do hope the rules for it dont suck. I also like from what i think is being able to use battle gears for different attributes not like traps which are keyed to the bakugan attribute you want to use them.
