Kohl has more expensive bakugan prices than TRU, Walmart or Target but it is good to check all stores especially if you are looking for bakugan from earlier releases (2-4 months earlier from what target, walmart and TRU are carrying). I even found some older bakugan at borders but they too are expensive. The biggest frustration with this game is the lack of supply of certain bakugan. Like in our area it is very rare to see other types of ventus traps except for Baliton. Aquos and Darkus(I only see Ingram) bakugan are also a bit hard to find. Most boosters are either subterra or haos bakugan.
The major stores get their product by the case. Each case will have 16 pieces ( boosters or starters ). Also each case ( for that "wave" ) will have a predetermined sequence of Bakugan that are included. You just need to get their when they first get their stuff
This is fine if stores keep them in stock. The Walmart and target (2 stores) here in my area have basically stopped stocking them so its very frustrating once you figure out they all have the same thing. I was more happier visiting Kohl's because they had some releases from 02/09 and 03/09.
July 19, 2009 at 3:36 am #258347I'm not too sure what the official ruling would be but I'd say go with the base where the magnet is.
This is how we play it. The Mega Nemus has a habit of landing on two gate cards after popping open (after a roll). When this happens we just consider the BASE (where the magnet is) is where the bakugan is considered to be standing at.Scenario 2:If the bakugan is rolled and stands without opening on 1 gate then it is considered standing on that gate already regardless if it popped and landed on another gate later on.

July 14, 2009 at 9:01 pm #253373If I use “Dan's throw”"PLAY BEFORE YOU ROLL. If this roll results in a battle you may take back one of your Ability cards.."Then I use "Perfect Aim" which instead of rolling allows me to put a bakugan on a gatecard which results into a battle. So did I satisfy the condition of Dan's throw to get my ability cards back?
July 14, 2009 at 4:44 am #256655So this is valid.1. I roll a bakugan2. I play a trap that changes my bakugan to a Ventus3. I play Ventus 2 Ability card (Play at the start of battle where you have a Ventus Bakugan)Since I changed my bakugan's attribute to a ventus attribute, I now meet the requirements for the Ventus 2 card?
July 14, 2009 at 4:39 am #256603Okay,You can use a trap During a battle and you can play abilities When you've played a trap.
So Does this mean the trap:1. get's played at the start of the battle2. and BEFORE any ability cards are played including the ones that state "play at the start of battle"?

Couple More Rules ClarificationsQ: Do Ability cards that offer bonus based on Gate card G-Power bonuses stack?A: No, they do not. In your example, if a Gate card had 200 G-Power and the Ability card doubled that you would get 400 G-Power. If your opponent threw down the same card, he would only get 400 G-Power as well since the Ability card boosts Gate card G-Power, not Gate + Ability combined.Q: If a card refers to the 'lowest printed G-Power' does altering the G-Power of a Bakugan modify this rule?A: No, if a card directs you to use the 'lowest printed G-Power' always refer to the printed G-Power, regardless of its modification from Ability cards.
So you're saying if the gate is G-Power swap that although the PRINTED G-Powers are swapped when playing ability cards you'd still count as your original printed G? That doesn't seem right.
The G-Power maybe swapped or modified but the "PRINTED" G- power does not change on the bakugan (unless a bakugan has a G-power change ability and was changed by another source like a card, gate or another effect that alters the printed G-power).
July 11, 2009 at 1:05 am #255439I bought these bakugan sleeves from Amazon (third party seller). I got 100 pcs for $10 (+$5 shipping). They have a silver back cover but the cards fit including the special cards. Search for "bakugan sleeves" and checkout the ones from Dr. Jordan. Below is a picture with the different types of cards.http://www.eyeball-design.com/sleeves.jpg
