No, they actually did finish it. They divided the life of the universe into parts, and at the end of each part the universe was supposedly recreated. According to their calculations, the next time the universe was supposed to be recreated was 2012. I don't how long each was, or what the called each cycle was called (been too long), but I'm pretty sure I got most of it right. I still don't believe in 2012, other than I believe that it is a day and another important astronomical event occurring at/near the day the predicted, the Earth aline (or something like that) with the center of the galaxy! I'll be watching that, as it only happens ever 500000 years (I may be off) or so. Nothing will happen though.
