      If you were running bakugan, imagine you're just startin the work for it- it still has the same basic rules, but nothing exactly exists yet, so traps and the like don't exist. What would you do with the basics? I would probably give each attribute it's own gimmick for starters. You could argue it already is/was like that, but really I didn't see any sings of attributes doing specific things. First off, each gate would have a more obvious primary attribute. Like, some are obviously better for one, but I would make it so that many gates, with the exception of silver gates and character cards, can only be used if you have a bakugan of that attribute on your team. Heck, make this apply to some abilities too.To expand on gate changes, I would make character cards expand to coppers more frequently, but never would a silver have an effect. Gold character cards would be how we knew them, they double the G Boost. Coppers would all have a special effect for the title characters. Now, back to the attribute exclusive cards. You would only be able to use the card if you have a bakugan of that type on your team, as I said. Some of the cards would be like, in the corner "{pyrus} x2" which would mean 2 Pyrus required, some would be like "{subterra} {ventus}" which would be at least one ventus and one subterra. And, for a reason- to give the attributes a bit more diversity. For example. Any type of bakugan, as it is now, can use a Ventus/DaW strategy. Instead of making it an all around thing, diversify it so that DaW-style cards are exclusive to a certain attribute. The main gimmicks for each attribute would be something like...Pyrus - Raw power. Fire is generally just that. Maybe add some card destruction, like a red ability that can remove used cards from play. Haos - More "keep up with the enemy by a hair, then try winning" thing. Like, "If your bakugans Gs are X Gs lower than your opponent, increase your Gs to match the opponents Gs. Then add Y Gs to your bakugan. Ventus - Randomizing. Maybe make a rule change so that each bakugan has a 1-3 number assigned, and many of the ventus cards would have a die that would determine certain things. For example, a green that, depending on what the die rolls, determines what your opponent must roll next. Aquas - Field control everywhere. A gate that lets both players switch their current bakugan, with both choosing at the same time. Maybe an ability that lets you rearrange where the gates are in comparison to each other, as long as they're connected. Sub-terra - Defense defense defense defense. Say, an ability where if you lose a battle, the opponent has to give one of their gates to the owners unused.Darkus - Man i dunno, I never cared for darkus. Maybe lets you see opponents teams or something i dunnoBut yeah, basically just discuss stuff you would end up doing.inb4 this has been done many many many times
