Here's how I play. I normally play by the rules but the only acceptions I'll make are instead of first to collect 3 gate cards wins the first to run out of useable bakugan loses and if I'm feeling nice I'll play by setting gate cards at the beginning of your turn instead of only setting them when there are none in the field. Also when I'm in face to face brawls I play with the New Vestroia based rule that if a bakugan is defeated by over 500g's the other player get's that bakugan.

idk if i like the 500g take bakugan rule cuz i dont like loosing my bakuugan so u have to have both players agree but ya thet is cool

The 500g rule doesn't mean they keep your bakugan, they just borrow it until the end of the game, then the owner gets it back.
