Komba is from Kenya and I'm starting to wonder about Julie. She's just ambiguous.

I gotta agree with Kohdok, black is basically African, arabic is not black, and when you compared it to “white” thats more of just slang that actual refer to white skinned people, whereas you wouldnt call a indian, philapeno(sorry for spelling) black, basically, black-dark skinned african!White- general term for skin color

I've found out that Komba is black and Julie is just REALLY tan. But yes Bakugan is WAY better than yu-gi-oh.

Hmmm. Where did you find this.Well, the logic I used in thinking Julie was black was the combination of her forceful attitude, full lips and...*ahem*..."build".

hahahahahahaha yeah so true. butt anyways i am guessing komba is black cuzz 1. he lives in kenya and 2. in anime it'd look really wierd tryin to completely make the skin color dark not like black butt dark brown

Except that she comes from Overseas, meaning America. Her Japanese is also fractured at best, furthering the overseas idea. Not to mention in the Episode she battles Clayf in, her entire family is shown to look the same and she looked the same even as a really young girl! She also doesn't have the gaudy look of a ganguro. Maybe she's half-black, half-Japanese? Hmm... "Blackanese"? I dunno... It would certainly explain her finer facial features.

I still think she's Japanese, because of her name and the fact that the Japanese can have naturally dark complexions, depending on the individual or where they live. And even if she's naturally of dark complexion, she seems to be pulling off a mild ganguro style. Full blown ganguro wouldn't translate for a cartoon like Bakugan.
