So, ever since I heard about the traps I've been pretty anxious to get my hands on them.But for some strange reason, it feels a bit like cheating to buy Bakugan on eBay (not to mention there's no way I'd pay the prices that people are bidding for Bakugan Traps and Preyas II).So my strategy has been to make *lots* of trips to my local stores. For a couple of weeks I hit Wal-Mart, Target, and Toys R Us nearly every day. After that I figured out that I could just call Wal-Mart (since it's farther from me than the others) every other day -- and go in on the days that I'm near there for work.In the weeks up to and after Christmas, Wal-Mart was always my best bet for getting cool/rare finds like special attacks and Series 1/2. But it seems like they hardly got any deliveries at all for the entire month of January.It's been a long wait, but finally it paid off. Friday morning I called Wal-Mart. I actually hadn't called or been in since Monday or Tuesday -- the longest gap I'd had since Christmas. The clerk said "yes, we have some but only the ones with one marble and card, that cost $7.88". He said it like it was a bad thing, but I knew that the $8 booster packs were special attack packs, and I hadn't seen any special attack packs since the first weekend of January, so I dashed to the car and headed out.I usually just grab a basket, but this time I grabbed a cart on my way in--I had a feeling I'd need it! =)I got to the aisle and, sure enough it was nearly empty but there were a few racks of special attack Bakugan. And even better, as I started digging through them I first saw spin Bakugan, then Bakugan Traps, and finally even the two-headed Preyas II!There were too many new packs for me to try and keep in my head which ones were duplicates of each other. So I just grabbed the whole lot and spread them out in my cart to sort them. In the end, here's what I found:Spin Dragonoid:- Haos- Pyrus- Subterra- DarkusSpin Ravenoid:- Pyrus- Darkus- Aquos- VentusBakugan Trap:- Aquos- Darkus- Ventus- PyrusPreyas II (yes, the package actually says "Preyas II"):- Ventus- Aquos- Haos- Subterra(no, I don't know g-powers -- I haven't opened them yet because we decided to save them for Valentine's day gifts for my kids...and maybe me too =)And yes, I bought one of each color. And yes, it was expensive! That's the good and bad side of having three kids plus myself collecting Bakugan. Good because it's easy to justify purchasing lots of them...bad because it's expensive to pay for them.And no, they're not for sale or trade =)
