IMO we shouldn't accept this AT ALL. Why should we direct people to their site and say that it's better than ours (which is what they're asking us to do) for ANYTHING? It just doesn't make sense.

No, no and more freaking no. Basically what they're asking for is to use this successful forum/site to advertise and boost their crappy one. They realize that this site is more popular than theirs and want it to either 1) pump up their site or 2) lose popularity trying, thus making their site #1. There is nothing they're offering us that we don't already have or have easy access to on their junk site, so what's in it for us? We already get information faster then they do, so we can't benefit from that either. I sincerely hope you didn't agree to this BJ.-DB
