Would you guys be interested in a searchable databse of the cards? There would be several boxes to enter info and you could enter info in one or all and then it would return the cards that fit your criteria. For example say you ar elooking for the best

Yes I'd be really interested in that. I'm guessing you would have to do it in MySQL and PHP. But programmers are not cheap these days, $30 bucks is enough for one hour? As a programmer myself we do get paid higher.. But i don't have the experience to do it :(

I posted on rent a coder and the lowest bid was $30 assuming they understood what i wanted and can make it happen. Considering it but dont really want to spend $30..... if theres enough interest maybe we all can chip in like $1

I work in software development and have done web programming for several years. I was thinking of building something like this before Christmas (only I was thinking of two databases, one for marbles and one for cards) I personally thought it'd be useful for going to stores, trying to identify Bakugan, figuring out which characters are most powerful, figure out what variation there is in G Power, etc. When I found this site I sort of gave up the idea, because of the individual pages about each character, and the card listings. But if others are interested I could maybe find the motivation to work on it =) I've got a big project at work keeping me busy for the next couple of weeks, but after that I should be a little less busy.

If you need help, do let me know. I'm a computer engineer myself, and would love some experience in this. What language do you plan on writing this in? I was thinking along the lines of PHP/MySQL

I personally would probably do it in PHP/MySQL, since that's what I have available in my personal web host, although I haven't actually done serious PHP for a while. (I worked for several years doing ASP.NET, and I actually prefer that to anything else I've used — but I don't have a server for that =)I had half a mind to do the front-end in Adobe Flex, because I work for Adobe (loyalty to the employer, and all that) but that wouldn't be my first draft, probably.

I am actually working on getting the card database done. However one for the actual marbles would be cool for you guys to work on. I think a database of all the different attributes and g-powers of the bakugan types that have been made would be cool to have.
