Soooo, couldn't they still have 1 Bakugan left still? I mean the first one is in the Used pile, and then he has the 1 Bakugan on his own Gate card, and he's still got his 1 Unused Bakugan too. And he could just use his Bakugan that is already in the Used pile. So then no matter what all those Bakugan go to the Used pile, but he still has his 1 left. So it could go either way the way I look at it.

OK here's a followup for most of those guys strats.If it's one of those battles where gates are only set when there are none in the field, use Ventus (ability card) on your opponent's card and swap the gate with the one from last battle. As long as you have an ability card for the Gate, you're golden.Now for my part 1 strat, I love Dark Tunnel (Gate card) to start off with, no Blue or Green abilitys can be played on it so you'll win on it with your Darkus (700+g) Bakugan. THEN use Ventus on the battle on your opponent's card and you'll get to use Dark Tunnel TWICE. I've won many a brawl with that one.
