The GTS was full and possibly is still full with hacked pokes so I don't use it. And besides, ALL or ALMOST every trade is bad.

It was a japanese event one, the Garchmp wasn't that good, and I have a better one too

I know how to I just can't always find the same moving grass, they all look the same. I usually try to go for the shinty looking grass because its easier to distinguish but I just can't do it...

I know how to I just can't always find the same moving grass, they all look the same. I usually try to go for the shinty looking grass because its easier to distinguish but I just can't do it...

Well I don't know if we go by the same rules but I go by these. Taken from a post sometime long ago. When chaining, I have a high level Pokemon in my first slot, usually one of my Alakazams or Kadabras with Synchronize, at a higher level than the area I'm searching in. And make sure to bring plenty of Super Repels. And then use the PokeRadar in the grass until target Pokemon has appeared. And after you've disposed of it, either by catching or killing it. Proceed to look where the next patch of grass moves. If its too close to you, it has a high probably that it might not be the target Pokemon. So the farther away it is, the better. And if you happen get only patches close to you and you do not want to risk it. You just run around in the grass while Super Repel is on, and not stepping into the moving grasses and just use the PokeRadar again. I've never tried chaining for shinies but I've chained just to get the same Pokemon more often and I think my highest was 30ish.

Interesting, I never heard about the closest patches thing (Well somethign like that but I'm sure it was different) or the strongest Pokemon/Synchronize thing… thats weird.

Well the Synchronize has nothing to do with it. I just use it to find the right natures lol. But the Repel thing works out pretty good.
