Most people who havent seen episode 39 will probably not believe this, but Gus, and his bakugan die in it. He is shot into space after losing to King Zenoheld. My hypothesis too, I have a feeling theres more to it that we'll figure out later, but to be honest, I dont keep up with this anime, its too confusing?

Spectra turning 'good' makes Gus turn good, and Gus gets killed right before he gets a chance to help the BBB Resistance… Gus was the most loyal character in the history of bakugan, tied with Wilda.

Elico became more of a ninja then Shun, and Vulcan could foward moonwalk and he became the worlds strongest bakugan(I don't mean in power, but brute force.) I may create a Blast Elico and Rex Vulcan from other bakugan parts, in honor of them.
