Hey guys, the name's Mike. I just recently have gotten into Bakugan thanks to my step-son's friends at school. My step-son, Micah, is 4 (which is a little early for official bakugan play I know, but he still loves it) and came home one day telling me all about Bakugan. I'm 23 years old, so I was in the period where Pokemon was huge with the younger kids and exploded onto the scene. This game interested me because of my childhood growing up with Pokemon, it really brings back memories. Anyway, I have a few friends that I showed how to play the game and they love it too, but we all feel kind of out of place because we are so much older than the average audience to the game. I was just wondering if there is anyone else on these boards that is around the same age as I am, or if anyone can make me feel a little better about getting obsessed with this game, lol. So far, this has been the most informational site I've come across on the web, everyone here seems very cool and very nice and hopefully you guys will welcome an old fart like me into the community :). Some interesting tidbits about me: I'm a web-designer/graphic designer. I'm graduating college in May from Western Kentucky University. I live just north of Nashville, Tennessee. My favorite bakugan so far that I have is a Haos Delta Dragon with 640g...though my favorite color bakugan is black.Hope to see everyone around the boards!

Yay another 23 year old! Good to see more adults in this! I'm a collector myself, rarely play it. And you're a web designer! I'm interning right now for a web design company here in California lol. Well, welcome to BBuzz and hope you enjoy the forums here as much as I do!

Welcome to the official bakugan site for old farts LOL, I'll be 36 in May myself. Glad to have you aboard.

Haha, aw man that is really cool that I'm not the only guy older than 16 that likes Bakugan! That makes me feel a little better, lol. Micah, myself and my 20 year old brother in law had a nice hour or so of battling tonight, I just wish that there was something going on locally that involved the older fans.@ Macncheese: that is awesome we are real close. Especially when I'm up in Bowling Green on monday, wednesday and fridays attending classes. Do you know of any tournaments or anything that goes on in this region?@ Haosmaster: thanks for the welcome, maybe i can start something similar in coffee shops around town. You have a ton of bakugan...I'm slowly on my way to that much, I've got 16 now in a week. WOO.@ Nimrod: You should get into playing it, it is great fun, even when I'm just battling Micah. Yep, I'm a web designer, I'm actually working as an intern as well for a company called HCA here in Nashville. Mostly for my job I do website traffic stats and buying domains for the company, but every once in a while they let me show my skills in designing a site for them :)@ Ernie: LOL every site that I've signed up for this week Ive been welcomed by tons of little kids, so that's what I was expecting here. Totally cool that there is an older audience here! Old Farts FTW(for any of you who play WoW)!Thanks again for all the welcomes! I can't wait to be more active on the forums. *EDIT* BTW, I've seen another user with the name Bakudad...so i decided to be a little more precise in my sn and change it to stepdad to avoid confusion :) *EDIT*

The only tournament that I know of was at TRU about 4 months ago.

Yeah I usually shop for bakugan at the walmart here in town where I live which is White House, TN. It is like 40 miles south of Bowling Green over the Tennessee line, and they keep their supply stocked pretty good. Though I might have to see if Kentucky gets any different bakugan than Tennessee :).

If you live in White House you should try the Hendersonville Walmart and Target that are off 386... that new Target always has decent stuff.

The fear ripper hasnt been made in a B2 size yet so you can only find him in series 1 or 2 or in some of the Bakutins. The reaper was recently made into a B2 but is still hard to get unless you find series 1 or 2. The juggernoid is easier. ( these are my opinions )

actually i forgot it is actually kind of easy to get a fear ripper in the bakuclips as alot of places still have the older bakuclips with original size bakugan ( he's the ventus one ) And the B2 reaper i have seen this week at my Target ( mystery darkus ball in the starter like macncheese said ) The ball really doesnt have any markings around the darkus symbol and it pretty smooth looking and you can kind of see part underneath the symbol that will open up ( zig zag – hard to explain )

I can't really tell the bakugans in their rolled up form until i take them out of the package…kinda weird.I'll definitely hunt down the bakuclears and see if I can find some mystery reapers. I really would love to have a fear ripper though, gah so crazy looking with the big hands. Lol.Ill keep you updated on if I find this dude tomorrow.
