Hey! One time my dad hit black ice, or hydroplaned in to a guard rail that was on a mountain, I was there too, although I had just woken up from a nap, as we were on a long trip, and iwas about nine, and he had to tear up th fender to stop us from going off the moutain

He hit black ice and spun into the guardrail going up a hill on his way to work. Hes ok but the trucks steering is gone. (Can't drive the truck)

Glad to hear he is OK. Vehicles can be fixed, our bodies take a lot longer to heal.Probably a good thing he was going up hill when he wrecked instead of going down hill too.

I was just wondering how close I might have been to your old home area. I have been to Darmstadt, Frankfurt am Main, Kassel, Giessen, and Wiesbaden. All within the State of Hessen.My brother-in-law, after he retired from the Army lived in Giessen for a while. My younest son was stationed at Hanau.
