      I have gotton into anime, and my friend showed me how to make base art. What it pretty well is, you pick out a base, which is a nude anime person with no hair, and you need to add hair and dress it up by painting clothes on. I have done alot. Each one takes about half an hour to three hours to do, it depends how big the image is and how much detail its in.Enjoy :)
