@ Lux, oh duh…@ Yoshi, she states 100% truth. An animal is any multi-cellular organism that has to hunt for it's own food. Humans just take a more sophisticated form of hunting known as "shopping". But we are still animals. Mammals, like Yoshi said. And to be even MORE precise, primates. The four main subgroups of primates are monkeys, apes, lemurs, and humans. If humans are not animals, then there are three groups of multi-cellular organisms on Earth. Animals, plants, and humans. We have the same characteristics that all mammals have. We have fur/hair, we reproduce sexually and give live young rather than eggs, we feed our young with milk from the mother's body, etc. We are just far more smarter and advanced than any other species of animal (or, any organism, for that matter. Multi or single cellular). So, unless ANYONE can give me UNDENIABLE PROOF humans are NOT animals, my point as been stated. [/rant]

You are, you just act more civilized. If you're not an animal, you are either a plant, a single-celled organism, or a machine.

Or a fungus, since for some reason they're just THAT different from plants...

Like your eye color, you don't get to choose what you are, its genetics. I am most certainly not an animal by the definition you are using it as but I am surely an animal as thats how we are classified.

Ugh, forget it. But I DO know someone who's gonna suck at “Who's Smarter Than a 5th Grader”, seeing as how the fact that humans are animals is taught in 5th grade.

But, you;re in the UK, unlike me, Yoshi, and Vakuso. And I learned that before I even started school, they just taught it to us in 5th grade.

Actually, not true.Orcas are a type of whale, as are dolphins. However, orcas are not a type of dolphin.
