Some Info: We are in 8th grade.Ok, in science class, we are having some Family/Life "Education" thing. This time we were talking about relationships. I didn't have hope for my class, since a lot of people think love is all about looks.Well everyone raised their hand and told them (There were two teachers) what characteristics should be in a relationship. Some mentioned "looks" (Come on) and that was added to the board. Finally, they said one of the characteristics, and if we agree it should be in a relationship, we would raise our hand (There was 12 boys, 11 girls)For looks, there were 7 boys and 10 girls that thought that was important in a relationship (Facepalm) and then the teachers said: Good Hygiene. And then literally all the hands were up... except for mine. If you truly love someone, why stop it because they have bad hygiene. I was the only kid with my hand down on this one. "JARONS RAISE YER HANDS!!!1111" is what I heard, along with laughing. Then the kid sitting beside me grabbed my arm and raised it then said "He agrees" So there were 12 boys and 11 girls who agreed (Technically 11 boys) that good hygiene is important in a relationship.What. The. Heck.True love is not about "looks", feeling good about yourself, expecting something, or any of that crap. I feel ashamed to be in the same school with these people.

Yeah, people at school are always like that, all they think about is over-rated songs and wrestling, One of my friends bought the news paper, we look at the top-10 songs, all I see is a bunch of over-rated ones.

If my parents can see that homeschooling will greatly help me, I'll join you.

While Homeschooling lets you learn more, it renders you completely inaware of the outside world.Facing those stupids and idiots by yourself early on is much better than encountering them later on in life, at which point you'll be confused.Homeschooling, I think, only works for those that are either very rich or have their entire lives planned out for them.

I don't want this thread to go completely off topic and everything but homeschooling won't lock you up in your home."Facing those stupids and idiots by yourself early on is much better than encountering them later on in life, at which point you'll be confused."Haha, ya, but you still shouldn't force yourself to be around them every time possible, right?

Over rated songs... it is unbelievable how over rated they are.

Yeah, I agree, but I've had my fair share of those idiots. I started Homeschool at 7th grade, where I was sick of them...

High school bad people are much worse than elementary school bad people.(I use bad people for lack of an appropriate word)In Florida, a couple of punks set fire to a 15-year old because he "snitched" on them.Yeah. The world is a scary place. And sometimes your class can suck. Ever since I was in Grade 1, every single class that I've been in was the loudest and most disruptive.

Can't help but agree. That and my 4th grade teacher was all about first impressions.

This^ One idiot (An idiot who has NO common sense, and I think he even got transferred to my school because he was bad) stole my shirt and deoderant (I think, since he has been stealing a lot). I also hate that during the 4 minutes to get to class, the halls are filled with annoying people who run and crash into people (The same idiot crashed into me today)
