I actually posted this on another forum I found via Google, but that was before I stumbled upon this site, which seems more active.Sorry for posting it in this forum, there wasn't a general forum or introduction forum to post in I've seen the toys at my local toy shops for quite a while, and while it seems very popular with children, is the game too simple for adults? Are there adults who play the game, and not because they have children?Thinking of grabbing a few just for fun, but I was just pondering if its worth buying to play or just buying for fun.Thanks!

How old do you consder an adult to be? There's a few peole 18+ here (some of which don't have kids) who play with these.Its not simplistic at all unless perhaps you're brawling a child seeing as most might not know how to straegize. There are plenty of different strategies, and in real life there's also yor ability to roll our Bakugan. Its a really fun game and you should probably try it yourself rather than take anyone's (even yours) word for it.

Yeah about that age, probably more into the 20's and 30's.Lets say I wanted to buy stuff to play, what would you suggest for me to get? Does each faction have a different playstyle or are they just different colored for aesthetic purposes?Thanks

The game is geared on a somewha easy basis for easy access to younger kids, but many adults play on here, I myself play and I am 14. You have six attributes, pyrus, darkus, haos, aquos, subterra, and Ventus! Then… you have your 3 bakugan you use, and 1 bakugan trap. THEN… you have 3 gates of different colors, silver, gold and bronze, and THEN….. you have 3 abilities, red, blue and green. The game does get in depth, and has a few imperfections, but overall its fun to collect and play with. If you need a more in depth knoweldge of the basics, just ask!

I would get a starter pack.Thats what I got when I first got into collecting.

The starters generally have higher, more powerful bakugan also.

All 'colors' are the same, but receive different bonuses.Like one card may give a bigger amount to one 'color', and less to another.But the whole game-play revolves around the colors. 😉

Heres the way one of our members, Darkus Brawler, summarized the attributes-"Pyrus: Good at flaming your opponent, but very vulnerable to counterattack. Burn and get burned.Aquos: Goes with the flow of battle and is always able to counter, but vulnerable to. Go with the flow.Subterra: Crush your opponent, but be wary of tricks. Solid as stone.Haos: The idea here is to trick your opponent with excessive strategy, but can be overpowered. Show your enemy the light.Darkus: Trick after deception leads to your opponent's downfall, but if a trick backfires, you are left vulnerable. Hide your plan in the shadows.Ventus: Creates the flow of battle, you control what happens when, as long as you don't lose control you will gain victory. They all have different styles that they typically SHOULD use but I guess when you think about it, you dono't realy have to follow that at all.Haos, the grey marbles, is about coming from behind (with lower G-Power) and winning despite being weakerSub-Terra, the tan marbles, are the opposite of Haos and are about overhelming your opponent with forceThats just two but you can get a general idea that they change it up a bit. And about the thing someone said about starters, they don't give highe G-Powers. Thats a misconception simply because there are three Bakugan and one of them is garunteed to be pretty high (the closed Bakugan in B2 packs is always the strongest in that pack)I got a Ventus Scraper 700G from a booster, not a starter and there are plenty of others like that out there, especially with the B3s out now.

Actually, if anything, boosters are better than starters.Mostly, starters have one strong Bakugan and two crap Bakugan, while boosters almost always have a strong Bakugan.

Interesting…I'm usually more of a hybrid player; winning through force, but weakening him before attacking, rather than trying to win with pure brute force.I guess I'll go for what I like looking at; is there a gallery of sorts where I can see all the pieces and cards?Thanks
