I see his and your point. It does make a lot of sense. But how would you know what attribute to change the opponent to? Its based on the attributes on the Metalfencer trap so therein would not work on fencer.

I think DB said “you can change it to your attribute” the suberra symbol is on fencer or whatever attribute you have a fencer of,then it changes to the attribute you have

I've read the FAQ and the only thing Im trying to clear up is that if this card was intended to only be used on the TRAP. Plus it does say "Play when you add a MetalFencer to a battle" which means the only time it is playable is when the bakugan is added to the battle. So playing it after the battle starts with a fencer and another bakugan will not work. The only other scenario I can think of is when the player used combo battle and pulled fencer from the used or unsed pile then that satisfies the "Play when you add a metalfencer to a battle" condition of the card.Anyways I am just trying to learn as much as I can about the game and the different "legal" plays. I know SM screwed up some a lot of the card text and I not trying to be a know it all.

But the card text of a gate says Storm skyress,so the effect of an ability is the same.even though it says storm skyress on the text box,it will work for skyress.even though it says metalfencer it will work for fencer

But,the thing I only get from Bakuganry is that Adding thing,Maybe it will work when its rolled on and the other bakugan is already on the gate.Your adding fencer to the battle when you roll onto a gate with your opponents bakugan.Maybe I dont know for sure

……Again..I said When you roll a bakugan onto a gate with your OPPONENTS Bakugan already on it,then a battle begins,and you added fencer to the battle.so you can play metalfencer.Theory ^

No you did not add Fencer to a battle as a battle was not previosly ensued. I understand the cards like Combo Battle working here but just rolling onto a gate with an opponent's Bakugan does not count as adding to the battle as there was not a battle for said fencer to be added to.

There is another loop-hole on the Metal Fencer ability card. The card says ANY element ON Metal Fencer, I'm guessing that includes Metal Fencers attribute, correct?
