well scorpion(mortal combat) is a great ninja, and he has katanas(ninja swords) Katana, no S. And yes, katana are better known as ninja swords. not to burst bubble, but doesn't that make it count as a sword?

Katana are epic enough they are in a group of their own.But if you wanna get technical, yes, but they're slightly different than most swords, as they are sharp only on one side, while swords are sharp on both sides.

oh, i tctually got one hung up in his livingroom. anyways, it's not really that big of a deal for me which ones better.

i have a katana from my tae kwon do class and nanashi gundo class, a muckum from the same classes and a shambora from the same classes. also i have a broad sword

Cool, off-topic but I have a Katana, nunchucks, a pong(Staff), and sais(Basically Daggers shaped like swords). I am a pre-black belt.

my stores say you must be 18+ and show an ID :- so i can't be wrong(they said it in general of all stores, of all states)

I got it in my Tae-Kwon-Do school, and you only need to be 18+ to BUY ONE.
