It's a Bakulyte, meaning it is Translucent (Like with Neon and Solar), so yes, it is special treatment.

It is glow, but the new name for all normal translucents are lytes.

Actually Core, and Steel and the others r ST cause they r called STEEL! They r colored differently than normal Bakugan.
