This is sad. Ok for one, if you're only training one Pokemon then they should be strong enough to tackle the Pokemon League almost single handedly. In Ruby and Saphire I used Kecleon and Blaziken THATS IT and beat teh E4. That doesn't mean to go through it all witht hat one Pokemon though, I also had Groudon (Level 45) as support to deliver revives and healing items with just in case. In Pearl I used Gastrodon, Staraptor, Torterra, and a very weak Palkia along with 2 level 20's to aid in reviving and such. I made it through fine.Just bring Blastoise with your other strongest Pokemon and you should be fine. Venasaur is the only one I can think of off hand that you'll have trouble with in which case just teach Blastoise Ice Beam.If you still need help then get Blastoise to level 65 or so then try again and you should be fine. Just stock up on Revives, Lemonades, and Hyper/Max potions. Maybe give one of your weak Pokemon that one iteam that keeps them at 1HP on a fatal hit at full HP (If it exsists in this game, I think its called Focus Band)As for Blastoise himself I'd suggest giving him Surf and Ice Beam. As for other move slots I can't really think of anything, maybe Body Slam. DON'T teach him Skull Bash, it'll be a waste of time. Notice that both of those moves (all three in fact) have only 15PP which means you'll probably need some Ethers or Ether-acting berries.IF YOU STILL CAN'T DO THIS:GO out and catch Zapdos as (IIRC, he learns better attacks quicker than the other two) ALl you really need is Thundershock/Bolt and Drill Peck and you'll be fine. Zapdos is found at the Power Plant, use your MAster Ball if you're desperate, seeing as it'll be a tough fight with Blastoise. Now you have another "healer" (Like my Groudon) AND someone to take on Venasaur (Drill Peck obviously...)

This is my strategy in pokemon games.1 Attacker2-4 Healer/reviversThe rest whatever.

I won't use the master ball. Before fighting Zapdos, buy a lot of ultra balls and hyper potions. Just bring Zapdos' health down to red. Use ultra balls to catch it. I caught mine with a great ball. (all luck)

Hah, I caught my Giratina in Platinum with a Pokeball. Like people have been saying, level Kabuto, Lapras and Snorlax, leave Blastiose alone and catch the Legandary Birds. You will likely do fine.

Technically catching any Pokemon is pretty much all luck. Ultra Balls just give you a better chance (1.5% better?) than Poke Balls. And witht eh Legendary Trios and most game specific Legends its just a pain to catch them (The exceptions being Palkia and DIalga, who were amazingly easy to catch, ecspecially with a Dusk Ball) Like my uncle has toruble catching all the birds in Leaf Green but when I played I caught them (he had exhausted all teh balls thus needing to restart) and I think Articuno was the one I caught really quickly LOLI've actually caught Groudon with a Pokeball AND a Greatball before. In Gold I used it on Entei, in Crystal I used it on Raikou (Thus netting me all three dogs MUAHAHA!), in Blue I used it on near everyone (HA HA HA GLITCH!) in Leaf Green I don't even think I've used it... RUby was Latios obviously... and in Pearl I've had quite a few of them to toss round I know I used them on Cresselia and Mesprit, not sure about anyone else. And in Ruby, once I got frustrated with Rayquaza and wasted it on him since he is IMO the most annoying guy to catch since he knows Rest AND Outrage which means its pretty bad for you no matter what his HP is. It took me 51 turns (yes I counted) to catch him and I used a Timer Ball.

Not all true. Certain pokemon can be caught with or without luck. Legendaries are very hard to catch. Pokemon lin lower levels like 20-30 can be caught easily. Others in higher levels are harder.

Dude, its all based on luck. ANy Pokemon could break out at anytime its just that the chances of that happening could be just as small (or smaller0 as finding a shiny Pokemon. Throwing an Ultra Ball at a LVL 2 Pidgey with 1HP left is going to be majorly easy (and may even be programmed to aways work since the capture rate is probably so high) but there still might be that chance it breaks out. Each Pokemon has a capture rate. Each Ball multiplies that capture rate by a certain amount (Example: Dusk balls multiply them by 4 [at night anyway]) so it just ups the chance of you capturing them, hence why its possible to catch even Groudon with a Pokeball. If it weren't base don luck then it'd be impossible to catch him with a Poke Ball.
