Can't wait to see the movie… the book is excellent and very sad…. Overall it's a great book. I'm pretty sure this was started in Asia though but the movie seems to be an american adaptation which is still good

If people never heard of this story of Epicness, heres the EPIC ending and sad,Hachiko waits everyday at the train station for his deceased master to return, the final day before hachiko dies he makes one final bark of epicness at the train station and dies, then they make a statue of him to show his loyalty and this is based on a true story

Yeah, I have read the book too, when I first read it, it reminded me of a british true story called Greyfairs bobby, wheer a Yorkshire terrier even though there was a no dogs allowed sign, stayed at his masters grave for 15 years of his life, no matter how many times police moved him, he would always return, and there is a statue in the city(forgot where it took place) just like Hachiko
