First thing you will need to play bakugan Online will be your “Deck”. In Apprentice everything is depicted with cards, even the Bakugan. So just as the rules state you will need 3 Bakugan, 3 Gate cards ( one of each color ) and 3 Ability cards ( one of each color ). This means your deck will contain 9 cards total. No more no less. The game is being set up to deal each player 9 cards from their deck when it starts. This means you will get all your cards in the beginning. There will be no need, nor should it be possible, for either player to draw any more cards during the game. Doing so would be considered cheating. When you are about to play the game it allows you to load a "deck" that you have created. You can create as many decks as you choose and save them and choose which ever you wish to use when you play. To create your deck/s you must start the apprentice program. In the top left corner you will see "File". Click this then you will see some more options. Click the one titled "Deck Editor". Now you will be in the deck editor that allows you to crate and save your decks. There are two main boxes on the bottom of the deck editor window. The left box contains all of the bakugan cards as well as bakugan currently available in our apprentice version ( will be updated from time to time to include new cards and bakugan ). The right box contains the cards you have added to your deck. Right above this box is a box for you to name the deck, by default it is "untitled deck".To read the cards first you must click on the name in the list on the left to highlight it. Next you can either click on the button in the middle titled "View Card" or you can click the right mouse button. To add cards to your deck simply click on the card you want in the list so that it is highlighted then click on the button between the boxes that is titled "ADD". This will add the card to the right side box which is your deck. Continue this process untill you have the 9 cards needed to make up your deck. ( make sure you have the correct amount and type of Gate and Ability cards ).Once finished creating and naming your deck you need to save it. To do this simply click on the little icon of a floppy disk at the top row of icons ( in the deck editor window ) This is the forth one from the left. A window will pop up asking you to name the deck your saving and you then just select to save it. It will automatically save it to the "decks" folder so it will be usable by the apprentice game.Since Apprentice was created for playing Magic the gathering, many things do not apply or get used for playing Bakugan. However, to help simplify things some of the search filters are usable when using the deck editor. First card color may be used. Each color Ability card ( red, green, blue ) is that card color so when searching for a blue ability card you can set the filter to blue card color and it will return all of the blue ability cards. For Gate cards we had to do some modificiations. Gold was a choice so obviously gold gate cards are represented by the gold card color. Bronze Gate cards are represented by the "Artifact" color. Finally the Silver gate cards are represented by the "Land" color. To Search for a specific type just select the type you want from the dropdown menu and then click the green check mark at the top. All of the results matching your criteria will be listed in the bottom left box.Next you may use Expansion to filter through the cards/bakugan. Each card set and set a bakugan came from is represented in the dropdown menu for expansion. Select your choice and click the green arrow to have it return all the matchig results. Finally the power/toughness box can be used to search for a bakugan by g-power. Simply enter the g-power nuumber your looking for into the box ( no need to enter a "g" ) and click the green arrow. The bakugan having that g-power ( if any ) will be listed in the bottom left box.Should you have any questions or problems using deck editor and creating a deck please let me know. Hopefully my instructions werent too bad.Next follow the starting a game/using hamachi details.
