I read the serebii article on it but still have a few questions. 1. Do you only gain EV points when you grow a level, or do they just add up all along?2. Is there any way I can know how much I've gained?3. Can you, say, gain all your EV points early in a Pokemon's life then it just keeps getting beastly stat increases as it levels up?4. Is it too late for me to EV train mah Pokemon that are in the 60s?

1.you can only use a max of 512 evs i think2.well you can use action replay to find out or use the stat reducing berries and re-ev train them they they are in the stats that you prefer3.no you can only gain a total of 512 evs4.no,50-80 is a great level to ev train your pokemon(s)

      1. They are added to the pokemon but only actually gained when it levels up.2. There was an EV checker in Dia/Pearl/Plat. Sunnyshore I think, where you buy capsule stickers. Best to record them on paper.3. Yes. 4. No, I say it's an ideal level. You should sweep the EVs with berries though.

So then I could, say, battle a crapload of Zubats when I'm at level 8, then my speed increases by like 6 everytime I grow a normal level without battling Zubat?

Good, very good. That means I can work one day on EVs, then the stat increases just come naturally as the levels grow. And I will, prolly too late for me to train mah lv. 63 Gengar. DX

      #387146

It's never too late! Unless it's LV99-100!Use the following berries to decrease it's current EVs to zero for a fresh start.Pomeg, Kelpsy, Qualot, Hondew, Grepa, Tamato. Make sure it's a good nature though. You know of Smogon right?EDIT: Don't forget to give your Pokemon proper Vitamins too!

you can still ev your gengar though

      #387119

Yeah, you can probably still EV Gengar, but make sure it's a timid or modest nature, otherwise it's no good. (Also, GET THE POKERUS)

Well it doesn't actually gain it each level up, 4 EVs equals +1 in that stat. They gain these on the way to LV
