Sometimes, we feel like making our own rules. So I got together with some of my other Bakugan loving friends and made up our own rules.Rule 1: It's first to lose all their Bakugan to lose, which makes clean slate very helpful (especially because I use mainly Darkus).Rule 2: If you use all your ability cards, you get them back, unless you cannot use them again (like Rainbow Portal). This rule is very similar to the official rule about how when it's your turn, and you have no Bakugan to play, you get all Bakugan in your used pile back, only it's for your ability cards.Rule 3: You play the Doom Card at the beginning of the game, and only effects your opponent (meaning only your opponent's Bakugan is removed from play if they lose, not whoever loses). That way it is used almost exactly like it is in the anime.

The doom card did effect both players bakugan in the cartoon, I am sure I saw one of the bad guys start a battle and use a “minefield” card that exploded and sent both bakugan (his own, and his opponent's) to the doom dimension.

No every time the doomcard was used it didn't affect the brawler who played it.Oh, and love those rules, eskura. ;D

But normally, the Doom Card only sends the opponent's Bakugan to the Doom Dimention when it loses, not their own. The only reason their Bakugan went too was because the portal to the Doom Dimention sucked it in before he could return to it's owner.

The way I play, the Doom Card only effects your opponent. If it's a card like Minefield, it destroys mine and sends my opponent's to the Doom Dimention.

I agree with eskura. In season 1, I've seen many a battle where there was a doom card and Dan-or any other brawlers'-bakugan were sent to the doom dimension but not the opponent's.

How many times did Reaper get beat. He never went to the doom dimension until the player who played the doom card destroyed him. The only bakugan sent to the doom dimension are the ones destroyed by the player who played the doom card. So minefield is the player killing his bakugan thus sending it to the doom dimension. If theres just a battle and the doom player loses then his bakugan does NOT go to the doom dimension. Any questions?

That's exactly how it was used, as well as how I use it, Pudder. Thanks for explaining it.

Back on topic… I like these rules. Anytime I'm just funning around with my friends that's how we use Doom Cards. See some people play three unusable Bakugan to win. When we play that is how we signify that that is the win condition by “setting” a Doom Card.

Lol, my favorite strategy is to keep missing, then play Clean Slate so all three of my opponent's Bakugan are removed from play, making me the winner.

Ya. You did that in that brawl you were just in. I think that's a good behind strategy. Another good one is to use one Sub-Terra Bakugan and Julie's Launcher. Im sure you know about that card Mr. Bakudex. lol
