Yup, many of the most recent cases of the aptly named “Alto Brontes Disease” (A condition where a Bakugan has pieces of plastic jutting out from the sphere, preventing it from rolling normally) can be cured. At least that seems to be the case with Lumagrowl. I just removed the offending ridges from it an it has caused no trouble in regards to any of its mechanisms and it now rolls far better. This proves that the extra bits of plastic jutting out from Lumagrowl have no point. However others like Avior and Dharak look more challenging as some of the parts that jut out for them seem to have a purpose. As I get more extras of each I'll experiment more.Phosphos has no Alto Brontes Disease, nor do any of the Super Assaults I have found so far, so no cure is needed for them.In order to cure Alto Brontes Disease, you need a good deal of experience shaving down plastic bits with an exacto knife (This is NOT kids stuff, if you're still a kid who is, like, under 15, get an adult to help you).Layer by layer, gently and carefully shave away any offending bits with the exacto knife until it matches the contour of the sphere. It's that simple. Maybe I'll try it on an Alto Brontes to see if it's possible, but since the molding is so bad I'm not sure.I'll try to do some pics of my cured Lumagrowl (Vs my regular ones) later. And now the question: Would curing a Bakugan of Alto Brontes Disease count as "altering the bakugan to gain a gameplay advantage"?In other news, I just learned there's a Haos Viper Helios! DO WANT!!

It's always Kohdok, coming up with these ideas. Soon to be sticky once again. Anyway, I think I'll leave my Bakugan as they are. Still after getting rid of the edges and stuff there's that huge bottom of all of them, which is a bit annoying. Along with that, I would say that doing this would be counted as “altering the bakugan to gain the gameplay advantage”. Simply because well, your getting rid of stuff that's making it hard to roll, and you “alter” it, by shaving the extra bits of plastic to make it simpler to roll is considered altering it towards your gameplay advantage, but really who even gives a care, not the “Battle Masters” that's for sure.A Haos one? Is it in GI colors?

Yup. Saw them in a Bakutriad at Walmart, but since it was between that and a definate 770g Lumagrowl, the choice was obvious.

I for one actually enjoy the ridges. I see them as encouragment for a spin shot. I say that because the ridges prevent the bakugan from tipping on a spin roll and as SM said a spin roll is the best way to get a stand since the magnet's always facing down.

V, when i brawl you you NEVER spin roll. Also, if you dont have an exacto knife (like me) you can use sandpaper. a lot cheaper and easier to get.

I agree with Timess here, this would count as altering your Bakugan to gain a gameplay advantage, i.e. a more accurate roll.I haven't really talked about it much, but many of the newer GI Bakugan have parts that PURPOSELY make them not round or jut out. It is my opinion, that this feature was by DESIGN to make it more challenging to roll the Bakugan into Battle.SLICING off or SHAVING off such pieces is an illegal mod, just FYI..Kohdok, you do what you want though. They are YOUR Bakugan after all. And I stand Lumagrowl pretty accurately. Was it giving you alot of trouble ?

Well, come to think of it, considering that the GI Bakugan have like outraging G's I don't see why not to have a more difficult rolling gameplay in. Kohdok,

The reason I object to the bits jutting out is that typical Bakugan up until now have had parts jutting out. It seemed unnatural to me then and it seems unnatural to me now especially since they are growing in number. As for the parts jutting out to make the high G's fair, I have three words for you: QUAKE. Quakers an evo that needs 2 gates taken and a turn givin up.The after just doesn't look right, but still great idea. Just that won't be legal for official play.

Impractical in online play, but in real play where people score miss after miss it is much more dangerous. It's also spherical without things jutting out and has a built-in reroll, so it is EXCEEDINGLY dangerous in real life play.

That's why we love it. Along with Poison Ground, yeah. Bring it out turn 2. The strat needs a bit more work though. If you haven't seen it, it's in the strategy section. Unless….

On the left you can see the painting all pail and such with the Alto Brontes DiseaseOn the right is a perfectly healthy Bakugan, with it's paint normal, without the AB Disease.
