I've gotten DS into it, so why not make a thread for it?Cave Story is a side scrolling game from 2004, it was started in 1999. It uses older graphics and uses 8bit styled instruments, so it would have a nostalgic feeling at some parts. The game has three different endings, but I'm gonna try keeping spoilers to a minimum. In the beginning, it keeps information very low. As you progress, you learn more on the history of the are you're in, who these weird creatures are, and the biggest question: Why are you in a cave to begin with? It's considered to be one of the best freeware games ever, let alone (in my opinion) one of the greatest games period. It has really good music (like Moonsong, one that plays in one of the final areas.) I reccomend you try this game out if you haven't already. Download it here.If you need help, ask me.

I love this game! Still haven't beaten it yet and its been awhile. SOmetimes the audio fials which makes me bored and then other times i just get frustrated liek whe I kept dieing to that medical box (forget his name) I only died because I kept rushing which was because the first time I did it the thing died on me.BTW guys IIRC this game is available on Wiiware!

IIRC it was showed in GI mag about it being WiiWare i wa slike "Hey that looks like-- Hey that IS Cave Story!"Medicine Box cause he's got the plus sign on him lol. I guess he could be a suitcase though. Tempted to play now, I just saved... crap I'm bad with names I saved... umm someone's brother....that scientist guy and did something else. I had to fight... melancholy? Melody? MISERY! Again and I think thats where I stopped.

One more thing that makes Cave Story so amazing…It was made by one person, a game that is legitimately better than touhou, another game series made by one person.Here's my opinion...Gameplay- Cave Story. It isn't as sadistic as touhou can be, but it's pretty tough. Just the right difficulty level.Story- Sure, touhou has a handful of stories, some are great. But Cave Story has such a great story, it makes you cry in some parts.Music- Tie. Both have incredible tracks, both have okay tracks.Graphics- Touhou.Fanbase- Touhou.Overall- Tie. Both are pretty awesome games.

I DID I DID! Can't find the file though, is it hiding out in my Program Files?

Probably. When I installed it, I installed it to my desktop so I could access the files easier.Once you find the Cave Story Deluxe folder, go into the Cave Story Soundtrack folder.

Ya I found it! I like the song "Running Hell" only Cave Story thing on my desktop is the shortcut to the game itself.

Yep, its official… Lux got me addicted to Cave Story. I just got the fireball thing and now I think I am in some other guy's house… Santa said I need to use his fireplace for something?
