Alright, making a Bakugan TCG, based heavily on MAgic the Gathering. The basic kinds of cards are:Bakugan Cards:Have an HP (their life), G-power (their attack strength), Defense (their defending strength), Effect (optional, an effect used to effect battle play), and an attribute+attribute cost (how many gates of a certain color are needed to summon it). Can only be played after flipping face-down enough gate cards to meet the attribute cost. If attribute cost is met, Bakugan is summoned onto the field face-down. On the next turn, they are flipped face up and can attack.Trap cards:Have HP (their life), G-power (their attack strength), Defense (their defending strength), Attribute change (changes the attribute cost for their Bakugan summoning partner, in case Bakugan is destroyed and can be summoned back). Can only be played after a Bakugan is summoned at the cost of one more gate card of any attribute cost. Is summoned face down for the first turn, then flipped face up on the next turn along with summoning partner Bakugan.Gate cards:Have effect (optional, effects gameplay) and attribute cost (the attribute Bakugan it can be used to summon). Gate cards are played face-up in six columns in the bottom row of your field The columns are sorted by their attribute cost (Pyrus gates go in the Pyrus column, Aquos in the Aquos column, etc.) When a gate is flipped for summoning a Bakugan, it is flipped face-down until the next turn, where it is slipped face-up again.Ability cards:Effect gameplay. Cost one gate card of any attribute to activate. Ability cards can be played during your opponent's turn, for their battle phase allows either player to flip gates for abilities. There are also weaknesses, strengths, and neutrals for each attribute:PyrusWeaknesses: Aquos and VentusStrength: Subterra and DarkusNeutral: HaosAquosWeakness: Subterra and HaosStrength: Pyrus and VentusNeutral: DarkusHaosWeakness: Subterra and VentusStrength: Aquos and DarkusNeutral: HaosDarkusWeakness: Pyrus and HaosStrength: Ventus and SubterraNeutral: AquosSubterraWeakness: Darkus and PyrusStrength: Aquos and HaosNeutral: VentusVentusWeakness: Aquos and DarkusStrength: Pyrus and HaosNeutral: SubterraWhen blocked by a weakness, -10gWhen blocked by a strength, +10gWhen blocked by a neutral, +0gHere is the turn sequence:Player one plays a gate. He may then flip gate face up to summon a Bakugan of whatever the attribute summon on the gate card it. If a Bakugan is summoned, player may choose to also summon a trap at the cost of one more gate of that attribue cost (NOTE: trap card must match attribute of previously summoned Bakugan)He may then choose to attack with their Bakugan (NOTE: unless state otherwise, Bakugan cannot attack the first turn they are summoned). Bith players may play ability cards when one player chooses to attack, to either increase their Bakugan's G-power or decrease their opponent's Bakugan's G-power.When attacking, compare G-power to defense. If the attacking Bakugan's G-power is higher than the defending Bakugan's Defense, defending Bakugan loses the difference of attacking Bakugan's G-power from defending Bakugan's defense from their HP. If a defending Bakugan gets to 0 or less HP, they are destroyed. If Defending Bakugan's defense is higher than attacking Bakugan's G-power, attacking Bakugan may not attack next turn. If both G-power of attacking Bakugan and defense of defending Bakugan are equal, both Bakugan get destroyed. If attacking Bakugan destroys a defending Bakugan, the difference in attacking Bakugan's G-power and defending Bakugan's Defense is inflicted to opponent's HP. First to reduce their opponnt's HP to 0 wins. This applies to both players. Whoever's turn it is is considered the "Attacking player". Anyone else are "Defending players"List of effects a Bakugan card may have:Flying-may not be blocked except by another Flying Bakugan. If defending player controls no flying Bakugan, attacking olayer attacks defending player's HP directly.Haste-may attack on the first turn it is summoned.Deathtouch-destroys attacking Bakugan if defending Bakugan's defense is higher than attacking Bakugan's G-power instead of preventing the attacking Bakugan from attacking for one turn.Lifelink-If attacking Bakugan deals damage to defending player's HP, attacking player adds the damage lost from opponent's HP to their own HPWither-if attacking Bakugan fails to destroy a defending Bakugan, defending Bakugan loses 10 Gs and 10 defenseDouble Cost-Colored half one color, half another. MAy use the summoning cost of either attributeTrample-Causes damage to opponent's HP equal to 1/4 of attacking Bakugan;s G-power, even if attacking Bakugan is blocked and does not attack player.xWalk-x is an attribute of a gate card. If opponent controls a gate card of this attribute cost, they may not block this Bakugan.Evolve-If Bakugan is destroyed, you may summon the evolution of that Bakugan from your deck in it's place. EVolution of the Bakugan will be stated on the cardOther-will be stated on cardFor xWalk, there are six different varients. PyrusWalk, AquosWalk, HaosWalk, DarkusWalk, SubterraWalk, and VentusWalk.List of different Bakugan and traps (-. indicates an evolution):Dragonoid->Delta Dragonoid->Ultimate Dragonoid->Infinity Dragonoid->Neo Dragonoid->Armor DragonoidSpin DragonoidHyper DragonoidPyro DragonoidMeta DragonoidIron DragonoidSky and Gaia DragonoidTurbine DragonoidHelix DragonoidPreyas->Preyas IITigrerra->Blade TigrerraHydranoid->Dual Hydranoid->Alpha HydranoidGorem->Hammer GoremSkyress->Storm SkyressElfin->Mutant ElfinDual ElfinNemus->Mega Nemus->ANcient NemusPercival->Cyclone PercivalMidnight PercivalAlpha PercivalWilda->Thunder Wilda->Flare WildaIngram->Flash IngramCosmic IngramBoost IngramViper Helios->Cyborg HeliosOrbit HeliosElicoMystic ElicoBrontes->Mega BrontesAlto BrontesHadesMyriad HadesPremo VulcanShadow VulcanAltairFarbrosDryoidMaccubassFourtressSirenoidTentaclearReaperCycloidHarpusWavernNaga->Silent NagaApollonirFroschLars LionExedraClayfOberusDrumanCentorriorRabeederTricloidTayghenHairedeeJuggernoidRobotallianSaurusSerpenoidFalconeerFear RipperStinglashCentipoidGriffonLasermanLimulusRavenoidSpin RavenoidWarriusWormquakeEl CoondorBee StrikerMonarusMoonlit MonarusRattleoidVeriasFreezerFlybeetleAtmosRafflesianJeldonAnchorsaur< ->HammersaurAtchebeeAbis OmegaStugClawcerGoblinballWantuSylpheeVandarusMoskeetoWiredKlawgorScraperFencerLeeframSpindleFoxbatDahrakAviorStrikflierSnapzoidCorehdumLumagrowlPhosphosTraps:Scorpion->Fire ScorpionTripod EpsilonPiercianFalconfly->Flash FalconflyBalitonHylash->Zeon HylashMetalfencerTripod ThetaDynamoFortressHexadosSpyderfencerGrafiasBrachiumDark HoundGrakas HoundSpitarmCarlsnautPythantusLegionoidTriad SphinxTriad El CondorHexstarDartaakNOTE: For Hammersaur and Anchorsaur, the arow indicates that it can "evolve" either way, although technically not concidered an evolution, it is still activated by the evolution effect. You may have a maximum of three of any Bakugan (note, evolutions do not count towards your final count of Bakugan, so you can have 3 Dragonoids, 3 Delta Dragonoids, etc.). I will get to work designing the actual cards later, this is all I have for now. Anything else you would like cleared up, just ask me. Same if you have any tips on it.

Pretty good stuff, I know for a fact card games are a pain to make, the cards are a lot easier once you get the basic rules down however and it seems like you got that down pact.I'll be keeping an eye on this.

Umm… forgive me for saying, but isn't Bakugan already technically a card game? It's just the figures used in place of character cards.

      I'm making a card-only version, though, and more MtG-like.

This is what I thought when he explained it to me. Personally, I don't like the idea all that much...

Wow. This is amazing, I hope you get it up soon. You should probably make a site specifically for it, like BNR.
