Not sure who already knew this but thought i would post a little FAQ on the codes that now appear on the bottom of the Bakugan. The 5 numbers represent the day/week that the Bakugan was produced and the 2 letters represent the factory that produced it.For example, 080122MP. The first 2 numbers are the year. The middle 2 numbers are the month. And the last 2 numbers are the day. So this example would be Janruary 22, 2008. There are many Bakugan with the same numbers so im assuming it refers to that week, but it could just be that date. Finally the 2 Letters at the end represent the factory that produced it. So how is this useful? We can try and track the bakugan releases by their dates and predict future releases. If you look at the BakuBronze Bakugan they have codes dating from march 5 to march 19 and the newly released Bakuglow have dates around march 26 so thats about 3 weeks difference. The Bakuglow just started showing up last week.( middle of June ) BakuBronze was showing up around the middle of May. About a months difference between them.

lol ok I feel better now lol 😀Yeah the coded that people have been sending me and now these would throw off our "system".But I will say this just as I told Ernie... According to when I get a Bakugan the average time it takes to be released in retail stores has been a minimum of two months and it has been like this since after Christmas, so even if our "system" is whacked I am sticking to my numbers as they have not failed me yet.Take note on this.... I will have the Transparent Helios 700G in about a week... so my guess is Octoberish it should be out, now that is also pending on if SM even releases for retail sale...Just incase this is the original pic of the Helios before "hardtofindtoys" cropped his picDSCN3950.jpg

Nothing is ever accurate or “for sure” in the toy biz when it comes to when things show up at retail… the manufacturer could even tell you their projected dates and they'd still be wrong some of the time… it's just the nature of this sort of thing. That being said, your theories are “dead on” as far as I am concerned. That margin of error is necessary. Also take into consideration variables like the first to be produced aren't always the first to ship....I've noticed the dates within the codes before (much easier to decipher than the codes some other companies use) , but never though to use them to track when a Bakugan would be released.

Very true because when I spoke to Ernie again today we spoke about the B2 Mantris just now showing up on eBay (imports) I told him I have had the B2 Ventus Mantris since like Feb of '09 and the code on that one is 081206MP ('08 - Dec - 06 - Factory MP= shibang)and as a whole B2 Mantris' are STILL not out in retail 5 months later

Not sure what you mean there by retail. I have a B2 Ventus Mantris from a local retail store (Target) back in March. They only came as the "mystery" ball in starters. It's code is 081205WS... a day before yours from a different factory.

okay I was not aware of them being in retail at any point... weird that I think not many people did either... I think in March was when I stopped buying retail too though so that could be why as I stopped posting/reading Bakugan pack upc codes to know what was in the packs and G's before buying the pack...thanks for the heads up... do you have the code by chance...

      is there a WW factory?

Nah... I got tired of writing the item #s down off the UPC codes on the starters because since starters came with 3 Bakugan in specific places, it was easier to tell which ones contained what for me that way, since you know they never change the Gs.There were two different starters that contained the Mantris though, I do remember that. The one Bakugan that still boggles my mind is Ventus Wormquake. I only saw one in the closed position in a starter ONCE. It may have been around march/april... and I've never seen that pack or a Ventus Wormquake again.

Not all Bakugan retail or not have a code on them so do not get confused or scared...

*Not true. I have one from a 3-pack AND one from a booster, they had slightly different paint jobs, sorry I don't have it with me right now, I can't remember what its code was.
