Still watching it but wanted to post somethings while they were fresh in my head.I didnt know this but pearl bakugan allow you in battle to use either there normal attribute gate bonus or the highlighted bonus. And translucent bakugan allow you to use your normal gate bonus or the gate bonus of your opponents attribute!! Those are definately new rules to me!!The dvd also showed a new special attack bakugan. It was a helios that came with a "ripcord" you know the zipper pull thing you stick in and pull out fast usually to make something spin/go. It was just a picture so not sure exactly what it does. The big game rules are in the new rules booklet that comes with the new bakuneon battle packs. The dvd states that on a big game you CANNOT use more than 1 exact copy of a bakugan or a duplicate ability or gate card. Finally there was tournament rules and really tourament rules only changes 1 aspect of the game but this is huge ( i dont personally like it ). Only the lowest printed g-power bakugan gets the attribute bonus from the gate card. If the 2 bakugan are the same then they both get the bonus.there was more stuff on the dvd and it did a good job explaining how to play the game for those that have a hard time understanding it from reading the rules. But for most people on this forum, there wasnt much great stuff, just the above new things i mentioned.

I saw those at TRU Wednesday… but I was too cheap to spend $10 on it.

I've never even heard of this DVD, it's official?I did hear each type of special treatment would have special game play ... but what you say seems to SOMEWHAT contradict some of the other official stuff iv'e heard.Ever since clear Bakugan came out, there have been talk by the games developers that Translucent Bakugan are also used this way but they have an advantage having their own attribute too... you can either select your default attribute or your opponents attribute before the battle starts. I suppose the rule laid out in the dvd is practically the same, but this new one seems to give you a choice DURING the battle so you can choose the more advantageous one? Again the rules are not clear. It's also not clear with this new statement whether if you take the opponents attribute if it is a full on attribute change. Although the change of wording seems to deny it as it merely says "gate bonus".Also the no special rule for Swaps? How can there not be one?! They have two attributes to begin with... there has to be some sort of standardized ruling as to whether or not they can both be use or which one is used and when, or whatever! That tournament rule is the most absurd thing I've ever heard, as it DRASTICALLY changes strategy gameplay.

DVD was official and its a tru exclusive. arent "swaps" reverse color? You mention two attributes like a dual attribute bakugan which is different than a swap in my opinoin. It did mention dual attributes and getting to choose which you wanted and swaps/reverse color had no gameplay advantage. The pearls specifically states you get to choose which ever attribute will help you the most on the gate card. the translucent simply states you choose at the beginning of a battle, but it shows the scenario with the gate flipped over and highlights the two choices on the card itself. The dual att stated you choose which one you want at the beginning of the battle, and was just like the trans explanation with card being flipped over and highlighted the choices on the card. And ditto on the tournament rule.... I wont play by that rule.....

Well I'm definitely buying that DVD now,

Thanks for the clarification.Dual Attribute Bakugan are also called "Swap" hence BakuSwap.Reverse Color Bakugan are also called "Flip" on the tins.Just a case of the wrong wording. But still... It says choose the more advantageous one on the Pearls, that is definite then. But for the ones at the "start of battle.".. it's still not clear. I was always told it was done BEFORE the card is flipped over so you can't cheat. And per the DVD, even though you say it shows the card flipped up, it doesn't say "the more advantageous" like the pearls to, leading it to be a somewhat undefined rule. Aiyah.::hits head on desk::
