I got one.Before you roll use the Pyrus ability card so that all bakugan are zero gs.Roll on to the card “Stand Off”.This gives Pyrus the highest bonus.No ability cards can be played so you win!

Not bad, however your oppenent does have the option to play any ablity card before the actual battle. They could also miss when rolling so they don't battle at all once you've played your card. Of course, this DOES give you a chance to win a gate without fighting, but unless you combo this with a card that "forces" battle, then you might not even get to fight regardless.

Err...no.In order to play that ability card it would have to be YOUR turn, not the opponents. It says "before you roll a Pyrus bakugan" and the effect takes place in "any battle this turn". Meaning You have to initiate the battle that turn. An opponents bakugan has to already be standing on the card, thus no interference by the opponent. the problem you have to worry about is rather yourself missingAn opponent would have a difficult time playing an ability card before the battle....Ability cards always say to play during a battle, after a battle, after YOU roll, before YOU roll, or after an opponent rolls. During and after a battle is not before the battle, an opponent can't roll a Bakugan if it is not their turn ( and it has to be your turn if your going to play that Pyrus card), so the only playable ones are "after an opponent rolls".

Your assuming that your oppenent is standing.your assimung that your oppenent has allready rolled this turn, missed, or stood. now, i was saying that if your doing this before you roll ,but not before your oppenent rolls then its a waste basicly.Your also assuming they landed on the gate you want. (your gate) as I said you will have to combo this with a card if they are NOT on your gate.

I think his point was that if the conditions were favorable then this is a viable combo. No one would count on playing cards when the requirement is a battle and their opponent doesnt have a bakugan standing.

It's not assuming. It is how the game is played, you are not even listening.A Turn does not consist of both players. You have a turn and your opponent has a turn. The card says this turn meaning Your turn. The opponent would HAVE to have a Bakugan standing for the battle to start! How else would you have a battle?And like Ernie said....of course I'm assuming their Bakugan is on the gate I want, why else would I play the card?! That is the strategy. >_>

one more thing your depending on is that they are not playing as pyrus, since this would result in a tie, and give them the win.

Given that their Bakugan would have to already be on the card for a battle to commence... you'd have to be pretty stupid to play out the strategy if it was a Pyrus Bakugan. Why are you being so nitpicky?.. this person made a valid combo under the right circumstances. Most combos have a chance of not working... you can't predict the game before it's played. That is called underestimating your opponent, my friend.

Chances are the opponent can't counter so the odds are in your favor to win.
